It's the most fabulous time of the year - when October strikes, the Xmas stuff hits the stores and we can all be well and truly sick of Xmas months before it's even here! Ho-Ho-Heavy Bolter!
Alas this week Games Workshop jump on that very bandwagon, completely ignoring the cool-factor of Games Workshop crossing over with Halloween - it seems like a match made in heaven! Imagine a whole month of releases just themed around spooky things - deamons, ghouls, ghosts, vampires, Warp entities, demon hunters if you like - but it would be expected every year and something to look forward too. Maybe to make it super spooky they could show things they don't preview all year, give us a jump scare of releases! It just seems like a natural fit, but alas, corporate mind-think does not equal fun... which is why this week we have Made to Order!

​Yes Made to Order, I hear your groan and it is echoed here! Yawn-central. But this time we do at least have a very good model, and that's the Classic Ghazghkull Thraka in all his Big Boi armour. A great mini and worth picking up before he goes wandering. Also in the all-metal MTO this week is the Classic Zodgrod Wortsnagga, ​Classic Nazdreg Ug Urdgrub, Boss Zagstruk, the super-fun Goff Rockers, Mad Dok Grotsnik and the Classic Deff Dread.

Now, in pure Xmas fare, we actually have some cool things... there's a Targeting Squig Tree Decoration, the really nice Chaos Space Marines: Bauble Collection, and the suitably boring Armies of the Mortal Realms: Bauble Collection 1... (which from the name we can assume there will be a Armies of the Mortal Realms: Bauble Collection 2). In other decorations there's the Blood Angels, Orks, and Inquisition Hanging Decorations, AND - show-stopper - a Chaos Star Tree Topper, which if it wasn't $70AUD would be very tempting!

You would think that the Space Marine Codex would be the first cab off the rank in 11th Edition 40K, but no - it was the Orks! Today however we have the Codex for the force that must cover at least 70% of Warhammer 40K players, Space Marines! Of particular interest is that this Codex comes in three flavours, not the usual two! 
Indeed we have the Space Marine Chonky Boyz Collector's Edition, the Space Marine Exemplars of Virtue and Reason Standard Edition, PLUS we have the Codex: Space Marines Cleanse and Purge Limited Edition. The Limited Edition has a numbered collectable box, new cover with gold foil details, 6 x bronze-finish magnetized metal Chapter badges so you can choose which Chapter badge you want on the front cover, a bronze-finish metal Crux Terminatus badge, 6 x art prints, the Command Pack: Space Marines, plus Gold page edges and a gold ribbon bookmark. That's all pretty special, and perfect for the Emperor's most loyal!
We also have Space Marine minis as well, with the new Ultramarine duellist Kaius Konorius making his Primaris debut. Fresh from the Armageddon boxed set we have the Champions of Armageddon, which includes the snap-fit Chaplain with Jump Pack, Ancient, and 3 x Eradicators with Heavy Bolters. Also from the Armageddon box are the Vanguard Veteran Squad with Jump Packs, the Eradicator Squad With Heavy Bolters and the Land Speeder. These are also all snap-fit! In terms of new multi-pose multi-part Space Marine Intercessor Squad, with mixed armour marks, back banner and all! There's also the new (and maybe unfairly derided) Captain on Bike and the new Outrider Squad - which is the multi-part version of the ones included with Warhammer 40k 9th Edition! The webstore also includes the Rhino in pre-orders this week - which for fans of the older kits is a bit rude considering it's going to Legends soon - but also interesting to see it go up significantly in price. The previously $50 AUD kit is now $70AUD, which was the price for the Razorback (Rhino + the Razorback upgrade sprue). It seems that if we see the Rhino or the Razorback again it will be at a higher price, though if they're smart it will include both in the same box. With the new edition comes the Command Pack: Space Marines, which includes the Detachment, Enhancement, and Stratagem cards, plus 24 x Double-sided tokens. There's also a nifty set of Space Marines Dice as well.
​In books we have the new Ultramarine-themed Master of Rites in Paperback, the Dawn of Fire: Crusade of Vengeance Omnibus in Paperback, which includes the novels Avenging Son, The Gate of Bones, and The Wolftime. There's also a new Helbrecht: Sin of Hope in Hardback, which also comes in a Special Edition which goes on pre-order on 23/09/26 at 3pm UK time.
The final book is the The Sundering Omnibus in Paperback, which includes the novels Malerion, Shadow King, and Caledor, the novella The Bloody-Handed, and the short story The Dark Path. All Aelves, all the time!

So it's a week for the big boys and girls, with the Sons of Behemat being released globally, and the Ogor Mawtribes finally being released for Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Let's look at the big'ns first though!

The Sons of Behemat are the giants of the Age of $igmar and Warhammer worlds. Big and deadly, they can be allied with multiple armies, providing brutal hitting power when it's needed, or fielded as their own force! 
The new Destruction Battletome: Sons of Behemat comes in Clod-Stomper Gamer's Edition and Toe-Jam A-go-go Standard Edition.
This is the biggest range refresh we have seen for the Sons of Behemat, actually filling out into an almost stand-alone force - well as stand-alone as the Sons of Behemat are.
There's a new character, with Ma Maegran – Chooser of the Mighty and her 2 x Ancient Ghyrochs adding a tonne of detail and backstory for this faction. The model shown here has extraordinary detail and must be a real challenge to paint. The other new kit is the Boss-stompers/ Rock-hurlers combi-kit, with three smaller giants in either mellee or ranged configuration.
We also have the Stomper Tribe, which includes a Warstomper Mega-Gargant/ Gatebreaker Mega-Gargant/ Kraken-eater Mega-Gargant and 3 x Mancrusher Gargants. Speaking of the Mancrusher Gargant, this will look familiar to many as the orginal plastic giant kit, and he can be bought on his own too in new Sons of Behemat packaging. There's also the Sons of Behemat Warscroll Cards and Sons of Behemat Dice to make your faction fully realised on the battlefield.
If you're into giant vs giant combat, then Brawlers of Behemat is for you! The set includes 2 x Mega-Gargants and 2 x Embergard terrain pieces, plus Brawlers of Behemat Rulebook, Mega-Gargant dashboards and all the cardboard bits you could want.

As mentioned earlier, there's also the delayed release of the Ogor Mawtribes for some countries. We've written more fully on this when they were offered to the rest of the world, but this is what those who missed out will be getting on pre-order this week...
We have the Destruction Battletome: Ogor Mawtribes in Juicy Manflesh Standard Edition and the Yum Yum, Get In My Tum, I Will Eat Your Fleshy Bum Gamer’s Edition. There's also the awesome leader model Morga the Mighty – Overtyrant, which can also be built as a generic Tyrant on Glutthorn. The Tyrant on foot (sadly an online only model, which seems crazy for such a brilliant looking kit) is super-customisable, with 3 x heads, 2 x necks, 2 x belly plates, 2 x hand weapon options for each hand, 2 x back banners and an optional fur pelt. Awesome for customising or character building!
Your troops are your Ironguts, absolute stand-out for this release, and the Gluttons which come with a staggering amount of optional parts (22 x different male and female heads, 5 x hammers, 5 x swords, 5 x right hand knuckle-dusters and 3 x left hand knuckle-dusters). Just brilliant! There's also the Cleavers/Gutseers combi-kit, and characters like the Butcher, Redd the Maw – High Slaughtermaster, and Grell Firefist. We have three irregular formations too, with the Mantrapper (and his now extinct Gnoblars), Hunters with Sabrefangs, and the mounted Maulbeast Raiders/Cavalry combi-kit, which is just brilliant! Plus there's a Regiment of Renown, with Okars Torrbad having two oldies-but-goodies, the Huskard on Stonehorn/ Thundertusk Beastriders combi-kits. There's also the Ogor Mawtribes Dice.

We have some The Hobbit Battlehosts this week too, with the Dol Guldur™ Battlehost
(Bolg, Spawn of Azog on foot, Bolg, Spawn of Azog mounted on a Fell Warg, 6 x Hunter Orcs on Fell Wargs and 24 x Hunter Orcs), and the Mirkwood™ Battlehost (Legolas Greenleaf, Tauriel, 20 x Palace Guards, 20 x Mirkwood Rangers). Both of these have weird proportions on the minis - super-slender and a bit weird! Meanwhile the Rohan™ Battlehost (Théoden, King of Rohan on foot, Théoden, King of Rohan mounted, 6 x Riders of Rohan, 24 x Warriors of Rohan) which are back to normal proportions and looking really cool.

The new edition of Necromunda is here and we have the first of the expansion books and some great new minis! Let's start with the ladies and delve into the stim-soaked world of the Escher. The new Underhive Journal: Escher – The House of Blades promises an expanded background, some new variant gang lists, and all the usual fare, plus the rules for Escher Chem-alchemy. A new edition to this... edition... are the new rules for Escher Wyld Runners and their pets, and Escher Chymist Cults (there's some sort of crossover here with Emperor's Children gene manipulation - just wait!). There's also new miniatures, with the Escher Matriarchs & Phyrr Cats. This set allows you to make a selection of Gang Queens and a Gang Matriarchs, plus 2 x Phyrr Cats. The Escher miniatures from the new edition of Necromunda are also available separately as the Escher Blades of the Matriarch, giving you a wide selection of weapons and customisation options. Again, these aren't as universally flexible as a normal multi-pose kit, but some slicing and dicing will do it. We also have the Escher Card Pack and House Escher Dice.
The big boys and girls of Necromunda also get some pore-orders this week, with the new Underhive Journal: Goliath – The House of Chains. We're told this journal will give us some fresh background material, variant gang lists, fighter profiles, etc etc, plus rules for Goliath Gene-smithing! This book also has the rules for the Goliath Furnace Brutes, Unborn Gangs (just foetus sliding around crying at people??) and more. There's a set of new minis too, with the Goliath Forge Bosses & Sumpkrocs. This is just too good and a deep dive into the real fandom of Necromunda. I remember the Eye of Horus Podcast talking about Sumpkrocs years ago and now we have some in plastic! This set gives you the bitz to make Forge Tyrants and Forge Bosses, plus two of those glorious Sumpkrocs. Very pleased to see some strong female Goliaths here! Represent, ladies!! The other kit on pre-order is the one from the new edition of Necromunda, the Goliath Forge Smelters. There's the Goliath Card Pack and House Goliath Dice up for pre-order too.

Here's something fun - it's a White Dwarf week, and for the rest of the world you are getting White Dwarf 528, but for Australia and New Zealand, we are getting White Dwarf 527. Yep, this is what it's like to be important to Games Workshop! Thank you so very much. 
In the name of completism, the Raldoron: Revenant in Special Edition is listed on the Australian and New Zealand webstore this weekend, but as it never went on pre-order here, it is just listed as SOLD OUT. Fans in this neck of the woods didn't even get a chance to order it!
