So lets get to the legitimate releases - we have the Primaris-ified living legend himself, Marneus Calgar in Armour of Antilochus. An upscaled and version of his former self, this mini is very cool and a must-have for Ultras hobbyists - but he's not the best boy this week. No, that honour goes to Cato Sicarius in his ornate armour, backbanner and Victrix-style helmet. A fantastic mini, almost like as smaller version of the orginal Forge World Roboute Girlyman, this guy is here to lead and lead he does. Absolute standout this week! Speaking of Victrix, the new Victrix Honour Guard are on pre-order this week too, and the kit has some much-needed flexibility, with the option to build three Victrix dudes, or you can build one of them as a Chapter Champion, and another can be built as a Chapter Ancient, with the Banner of Macragge. That's a cool kit, giving you some nice Command options.
Now here's where a mini didn't have to be an Ultramarine - the Captain with Jump Pack and Relic Shield is a cool mini, would it have killed you to paint him up as a Raven Guard or Blood Angel? Noooo. Bring back more generic Marines like in the old days when there were colour schemes on the side of the boxes to get excited about! There's some more Ultras (see below) and there's also the Ultramarines Dice.
It's a 40K week and we have the new Drukhari Archon model availble seperately for the first time. This is a brilliant kit, giving you gender, helmet and weapon options. Drukhari players need love, and this mini answers some long held prayers, being a vast improvement on the previous model.
How do you feel about Da Red Gobbo? Well he's hanging around again, but this time it's the Da Red Gobbo's Tinboy, giving him a nice armoured suit made in the image of the Vostroyans. Does this mean we will be seeing new Vostroyans soon? One can live in hope!
Two former Kill Teams are making their way into the main range as well, with the Legionaries and Traitor Guardsmen Squad being repackaged to add to your 40K armies.
In books this week we have the Death Korps of Krieg-themed The Relentless Dead, in both Special Edition and Hardback. Jump on this if you want it, the Special Edition is probably already sold out, plus Da Red Gobbo's Last Stand in hardback.
We also have two 40K anthologies, No Peace Among Stars in paperback, which includes: Death's Toll, The Blooded, The Guns of Enth, Tally of Slaughter, The Vengeful Dead, The Shot that Kills You, Tears of Raphaela, Tattershield, The Strength of Symbols, Those Without Mercy, The Last Psyker, Exterminator, Nightfall on Stygies, Dream of the Locust, Beneath the Ashes, and Imperfect Engines. The other anthology is Death and Duty in paperback which includes Less Than Human, Blood Sands, Hell Fist, The Sum of its Parts, The Strength of Symbols (in both antholgies this week - interesting...), The Redoubt, Finest Hour, Resounding, Those Without Mercy (another one!), The Last Psyker (I feel a pattern here) , Exterminator (you again!) , and Worm of Valhalla. Interesting GW doen't think that the audience will buy both books so they include some of the same stories in both... In other books we have the air battle-themed Double Eagle and Interceptor City both in paperback.
++ but wait, there's more ++
The other 40K release is the other Kill Team now available seperately, and its the Traitor Enforcer with Ogryn Bodyguard.
