15mm miniatures are pretty new to me, but when I saw the Marine Tactical Unit Kickstarter by White Dragon Miniatures, we were all impressed with what we saw and had to give it a go! The main product of the Kickstarter was actually the Proteus Battle Mech, but the infantry were so excellent that they also became the focus of the whole Kickstarter. As the momentum of the Kickstarter grew, the Talos suits and then the Strix Recon Mechs were added, with the 15mm version of the Fiddler Mech also being unlocked in what became a really successful campaign. I was surprised by the quality of these small 15mm miniatures needed to be shared, especially considering the seeming increase in the interest in 15mm miniatures across the hobby. + + More After The Jump + + |
MTU Fire Teams
Alpha are flexible tactical team, Bravo have a squad support role and Charlie specialise in heavy weapons and anti-armour. Every one of the team members are different, so no repetition of poses.
Talos Exo Suits
Two of the Talos Suits have grenade launchers and the other two have a heavy squad support weapon. The Squad support weapons have seperate ammunition belts which avoids a big lump of plastic between the belt and the torso of the miniature. A really nice touch for some really great looking miniatures!
These are decidedly chunkier than the MTU Fire Teams, and have that heavy presence about them.
- Verdict -
There is a price to pay for being so detailed though... because the details are so fine, I did find that some aerials and gun barrels were quite fragile.
The solution to this is very easy - get some thin super glue and apply it to the barrel or aerial. It makes them much stronger and they won't bend or snap.

These miniatures are lovely - really great! I have now been looking around at other 15mm miniatures and these seem to some of (if not) the best and they're not too expensive either.
These would be awesome to add to any armoured battles you were fighting or maybe urban warfare.
I went back and bought more after the Kickstarter finished and am really happy with the purchase.
