If you're a fan of G.I.Joe or other 1:18 scale action figures, you'll really love these!
Kit Lau, the designer behind the Acid Rain World line of figures and vehicles, has previewed what seem to be the pilots to the upcoming Laurel mecha unit... and they look awesome. The helmet is on the standard Acid Rain soldier figure, the first in a growing line. It will be interesting to see if this figure is the final design used for the Laurel pilot.

Kit Lau over at Acid Rain World has released images of two of the upcoming Bucks Team figures onto the Ori Toys Blog, the already-fan-favourite Bob and fellow team member Steel. Bob has been hinted at and teased for months, with fans already making their own customs. Bob has a new feature to Acid Rain World figures and comes with a cloth accessory around his neck. Nice to see some helmet/ head options for Bob! Steel has been previewed but not seen in colour before. Notice he also comes with a cloth accessory, this time around his waist - a bit like the old Star Wars Jawas of the 1970s! Also in the preview today were 3 other Bucks Team members blurrily revealed in the background!
So what do you think? Do you like the look of the blue/ grey? Acid Rain World supreme head honcho Kit Lau put up two preview images of the upcoming Laurel mechs on his Instagram. These two appear in the Marine scheme rather than the Desert scheme that seems to be more popular. Also in the shot is the recently pre-orderable Raptor Speeder MK1.
These look brutal and will be in high demand! Kit Lau, the man behind the Acid Rain World universe, has released some images of some brand new figures and mechs - and they're very cool. These figures dramatically expand the Acid Rain World universe and add much needed equipment to their armoury. Have a look at those vest! Some really promising looking sets here! It's an exciting time for Acid Rain World.
I wonder if the larger audience will bring down the premium prices?
Very excited to receive my "Acid Rain - The Last Line of Defence SOL Commander" today. brilliant figure, especially if you love your GI Joe!
More to come on the unboxing... possibly with special guests! Being loyal to GIJoe is pretty tough these days as Hasbro try their hardest to destroy a franchise that's now over 30 years old. People say there's no industriousness any more - well talk to Hasbro because they are working hard and getting it so SO wrong!
Now you might think the death of GIJoe (there are no new figures slated for 2014) means the death knell to 1:18 (3 3/4 inch) scale figures - fear not Padwan, because the people over at Ori Toy now bring you Acid Rain World. |
