 | Earlier this week we brought you some leaked images from across the web of the new Genestealer Cult miniatures from the Deathwatch Overkill gamer. They are impressive. Very Impressive. So today's White Dwarf was very much anticipated, knowing that there would be a closer look at these great minis. What I didn't know took me by surprise - my local Games Workshop store (like Betrayal at Calth) had a full preview game in store and the miniatures are even better in real life! This issue of White Dwarf, again like Betrayal at Calth, entirely dominates the issue of White Dwarf. If you're not pumped about the game - move on, but from what I hear the next issue is going to be more of the same! There is a lot of info, plus more shots of the miniatures than I have seen for any other release - EVER! Tonnes of background, close-ups and even some pretty decent fluff. I was trawling through eBay today and came across one of my favourite stores - and low and behold they had a tonne of new miniatures which you just HAVE to see! Warex have been around for a little while now, and their miniatures are very cool, fitting into the Warhammer and Warhammer 40k universes very easily. You may have seen their Thousand Sons and Kastelan Robot conversion bitz before, plus their slowly growing Tau characters, but now they have Inquisition and Mechanicus plus lots more! The new miniatures include some awesome vehicles, head swaps and some amazing stand alone miniatures that would make spectactular characters to add to anyone's army! Be aware, not some of the miniatures are a bit NSFW so look over your shoulder if you're at work :D 
I think these look really cool - what do you think? Not sure how multi-pose they are though, so dreams of a really multi-pose kit may be a little way off.
It's been a big gap between Betrayal at Calth and the much-anticipated separate troop builder boxes, so will getting the Deathwatch Overkill be better value for money anyway? Remember the Age of Sigmar boxed set experience? That box was amazing value compared to the prices for the individual boxes.

He was one of the authors of the Fighting Fantasy series and also one of the co-founders of a small gaming company that would become the mega-monolith, Games Workshop.
Well reports out of the UK say that he is set to open two free schools. - the Livingstone Academies. The schools are just two of twenty two new free schools announced in the UK last week.. The Livingstone Academies will focus on science, technology, engineering, arts and maths with the 3,000 students aged from four to nineteen. His vision is that the free schools will encourage “creative thinking and enterprise”. Although this seems out of the blue, six years ago, Mr Livingstone write a scathing report on the state of IT education - so scathing in fact that it played a role in the ICT curriculum being scrapped and replaced with the current computing curriculum being taught in schools across the UK. Ian Livingstone's connection with computers and gaming has also moved away from the tabletop, he is also the Life President of Eidos Games, the people behind Tomb Raider.
