Dreamforge have been producing some pretty amazing miniatures since their Kickstarter all those years ago, and now hot on the heels of probably the best fully articulated Mech model on the market and some truly excellent mutli-part infantry kits comes this... a 1/28 scale Valkir! In the old money, we are looking close G.I.Joe scale here (as I look across to my shelf to my Joes). We've prattled on about Dreamforge a fair bit here in the past and for damn good reasons - their stuff is very cool - but with them now venturing out of the traditional 28mm scale to try this figure, we have to give them extra love! Keep your eyes and ears peeled for this one, I know I want at least one... |

This image (below) is one of a few doing the rounds today showing a sneak peak at the Tzeentch minis in the upcoming Warhammer Quest Silver Tower... and they look AWESOME!! A non-Nurgle Skaven, more Beastmen to add to the ranks and human followers of Tzeentch with what looks like a Mayan-inspired look. As much as Slaanesh rocks my world, these look so awesome, especially the Tzaangors - Beastmen of the birdy variety. We NEED those!! NEEEEED! So what do you think? Do you like them? There are over 50 miniatures in the games, so who knows how many we get of each. I assume there will be some Pink Horrors in great numbers... ++ UPDATE ++According to the good folks over at Miniwars this is the Tzeentch breakdown:
1 Gaunt Summoner of Tzeentch 1 Ogre Taumaturgo of Tzeentch (so big and awesome) 2x Skaven Deathrunners 8x Family of Tzeentch (possibly the familiars?) 6x Tzaangors (possibly 2 x of each of the above) 8x Kairic Acolytes (thinking these need some cosmic tattoos) 2x Pink Horrors (who remind me of Jack Black for some reason) 4x Blue Horrors 4x Brimstone Horrors - new kind of horrors 8x Grot Scuttlings (four-legged Goblins that look just a tad shit!)
Dawn of War was one of the best Real Time Strategy games ever! It was vast, brutal and most importantly easy enough to be fun and challenging enough to want to play another game. Well the great news today is that Relic have a sequel in the works, which apparently combines the best of Dawn of War and Dawn of War II. PC Gamer actually saw a demo game and were able to give some good concrete details. From what they saw, the epic battles that made the original so good are back, as is base building and resource gathering! As per the trailer (below) there are three initial races - Space Marines, Eldar and Orcs. If you want to play the Campaign, you will play as all three races as each one makes planetfall. Like Dawn of War II, Elites play their part, plus now there are large Walkers like the Imperial Knight - but be careful using these large machines as they can overheat. Cover, all important in the first Dawn of War, returns - so get your Devastators in cover and watch for approaching Assault units. I imagine Eldar will be deadly in close range, where the Orks will swarm and the Space Marines will have good ranged power. This looks excellent and I can't wait for this to be released!
