In 2016 Tzeentch was the first Chaos faction to receive a really big wave of releases, and it was a fantastic release. This week those turquoise wonders return with their 2026 update in Age of $igmar. Spearheaded by the new rules, Battletome: Disciples of Tzeentch comes in two flavours; Magic & Mystery Is Part Of Our History Gamers Edition and Mirror Mirror on the Wall Standard Edition. There's also new miniatures in this release - the Fatemaster (described by Cult(ure) of Paint as the best miniature from the last Warhammer Preview Reveal) and Old Chicken Legs, the Magister on Disc of Tzeentch. There's also a great Endless Spells set, the Argent Shards, which honestly have to be a must-get for Tzeentch fans who play Age of $igmar, Warhammer - The Old World, 40K or Horus Heresy. They're just awesome! There's also a new epic Battleforce: Warpflame Cavalcade which includes the Kairos Fateweaver/ Lords of Change, 3 x Screamers of Tzeentch, 3 x Flamers of Tzeentch, 2 x Exalted Flamer of Tzeentch/ Burning Chariot/ Herald of Tzeentch on Burning Chariot/ Changecaster, 10 x Brimstone Horrors, 10 x Blue Horrors and 10 x Pink Horrors. This would be an AMAZING starter set for Tzeentch!! Meanwhile if you prefer more frontline troops, there's the Spearhead: Tzaangor Warflock which includes a Tzaangor Shaman mounted on a Disc of Tzeentch, 3 x Tzaangor Skyfires, 3 x Tzaangor Enlightened, and 10 x Tzaangors - an excellent way to get Tzaangors, the prettiest of Beastmen! If you prefer just some purely powerful magicians, then the Regiments of Renown: Seekers of Silver may be more your cup of tea, with the Gaunt Summoner (on disc), the new Magister on Disc of Tzeentch, and 3 x Screamers of Tzeentch. and of course we have the new Disciples of Tzeentch Warscroll Cards and some of the nicest dice we've seen in a while with the Disciples of Tzeentch Dice.
Tzeentch aren't the only magical kids on the block today, with the Lumineth Realm-lords getting their own 
Battletome which comes in Big Hats & Flowy Robes Gamers Edition and Elves of Power Standard Edition (the only thing available to pre-order Down Under this weekend). Like many new releases, the Lumineth Realm-lords get a new Vanari Lord Regent, who has alternative build options to make your own custom character. There's a two new boxes too, with the Spearhead: Hurakan Vanguard featuring Hurakan Spirit of the Wind/ Sevireth, Lord of the Seventh Wind, a Hurakan Windmage, 5 x Hurakan Windchargers, and 10 x Vanari Wardens. We also have the Battleforce: Iliathan Warhost with Ellania and Ellathor, Eclipsian Warsages, 5 x Vanari Bladelords, 5 x Ydrilan Riverblades (which really don't look like they fit in with the other Lumineth), 10 x Vanari Auralan Sentinels, 10 x Vanari Auralan Wardens and a Vanari Starshard Ballista. More magic than troops? Then the Regiments of Renown: Sigil Convocation is for you, featuring a Scinari Calligrave and the Endless Spells, Sanctum of Amyntok, Hyshian Twinstones, and Rune of Petrification. The requisite Lumineth Realm-lords Warscroll Cards and Dice also make an appearance!
We have some Space Marine Made To Order this weekend, with some metal Space Marine Captains from the Ultramarines, Space Wolves, Dark Angels, and Blood Angels Chapters, plus there's also a mixed set of resin and metal Terminator armour dudes – a Captain, Librarian, and Chaplain. Can there be a Space Marine release without Ultramarines? No - so we have the more classic metal and plastic set which includes older versions of Marneus Calgar, Chaplain Cassius, Sergeant Telion, Chief Librarian Tigurius, and Cato Sicarius. A set that was getting big money on eBay has just gone into Made To Order, and that's the Armour Through the Ages set. which includes the mostly original MkI, MkII, MkIII, MkIV, and MkV patterns of power armour in resin and plastic miniatures. There was a MKVI in this set but it's disappeared into the Void!

The Witch Hunter’s Handbook which is like a field manual of sorts which states the rules governing Sigmar's Witch Hunters in the Old World. The book is 96-pages and a reprint with a new cover.

Horus Heresy - you beautiful beast! Constantly giving of yourself, constantly bringing love to our hearts. Okay, so potentially over the top, but Heresy is kicking goals these days. The era of Warhammer 40K being the premiere property is over (though 2026 does look promising) and the Age of Darkness reigns supreme. This week we have three big releases that are both hotly anticipated and also quite controversial.  
The much-beloved Cataphractii Terminators, mostly unchanged since their first Forge World incarnation and into their plastic incarnation, have now changed to be upscaled with the rest of their brethren. The size change was highly anticipated, but the sleeker proportions of the new Cataphractii Terminators has left many disappointed - especially with the elongated torso. The new Cataphractii Terminators are available in two sets - the power mauls and volkite chargers and the combi-bolter and mighty power fist. It's an interesting move to not have just one box with both options, and maybe that's due to parts count who knows! The other set this week is the Breacher Squad, something people have been after in plastic since the very first sniff of Horus Heresy V2 over 10 years ago. The Breacher Squad set has the newer (and inferior) MkIII Space Marines plus the new Breacher Squad Upgrade Set, giving you drum mag bolters in plastic for the first time in Horus Heresy.  Thankfully the Breacher Squad Upgrade Set is also available separately and is fully compatible with the "MkII and MkVI" (as listed on the website) but doesn't list the MKIII which they are pictured with. Weird! Either way, it's a great day for Heresy to have these kits finally on their way (location dependent). 
We also have some brand new Warhammer: The Old World minis this week (the more the merrier) with the new Chaos Marauder Horsemen and Chaos Marauders. Marauders are brilliant and hugely needed an update, so this is very welcome. They look brilliant too, with dynamic poses on minis that can still be ranked. This is a must-have!   
Warhammer 40K get some new Battleforces this week, boosting your forces for the upcoming 500 Worlds narrative campaign. First off we have the Battleforce: Lords of Excess, which not only comes with the awesome Daemon Prince model, but also 20 x Infractors/ Tormentors and 12 x Noise Marines. A set like this with such new minis in it is a great opportunity to boost, or align with, the Emperor's Children and The Dark Prince, She Who Thirsts. Dipping into a slightly older miniature library is the Battleforce: Khorne Daemonkin, which includes a Lord on Juggernaut/ Lord Invocatus, the Master of Executions, 6 x mounted Bloodcrushers, 10 x Khorne Berzerkers, and 20 x Bloodletters. Tzeentch gets some love too with the Battleforce: Sekhmet Coven, bringing you 1 x Infernal Master, 3 x Exalted Sorcerers, the old school Mutalith Vortex Beast and 10 x Scarab Occult Terminators. Meanwhile, if disease is more your thing, then Battleforce: Vile Vectorium is for you. Featuring Lord Felthius and his Tainted Cohort of 3 x Blightlord Terminators, 3 x Deathshroud Terminators, 3 x Foetid Bloat-drones and 20 x Poxwalkers, you have all you need to make your tabletop opponent nauseous!
In books this week we have the new Apostle novel by David Annandale in Hardback and the classic Death of Integrity novel from the Space Marine Battles series by Guy Haley in audiobook.

These mini Kill Team sets, now that they come without terrain, are popping up all over the place, and the latest expansion, Kill Team: Shadowhunt brings together two opposing sides of the coin - the "light" of the Imperial Truth and the darkness of the Night Lords. To be fair it seems like a pretty sizeable mismatch, Sisters of Battle vs Space Marines, but maybe in Kill Team it's a more even match. Kill Team: Shadowhunt includes 6 x Night Lord Murderwing operatives, 10 x Celestian Insidiants operatives, the Shadowhunt Dossier, the usual double-sided tokens, 2 x cardboard double-sided game boards, the datacards, for each kill team and transfers for both sides. Sadly the Night Lords one is only the Chaos Space Marines Transfer Sheet and not one of their own. In terms of the miniatures, the Night Lords look a bit (as my nephew would say) "janky" while the Insidiants look really solid - a really nice addition to any 40K Adeptus Sororitas force.
With this set on pre-order this weekend we also have the last few Kill Teams now available separately too, with the excellent update of the Tau Stealthsuits in Kill Team: XV26 Stealth Battlesuits, and the new Kill Team: Wolf Scouts also on pre-order. The Space Wolves are sure to be very popular. Of course there's also the XV26 Stealth Battlesuits – Datacards and Wolf Scouts – Datacards to grab too. 
Meanwhile, the Kill Team: Sanctifiers are back in stock in Australia and New Zealand after an extended period, so they will go nicely with your Celestian Insidiants.

​The Horus Heresy isn’t just Hypermen vs Hypermen, it’s also Arcane Robotmen vs Arcane Robotmen, and with the pre-order for the new Journal Tactica: Skitarii – The Steel Hand of Mars up this weekend, we get even further into the depths of the Mechanicum. This supplement (sadly only 48 pages) gives us the background to the new Skitarii Battle-Pilgryms miniatures, plus new missions and rules for various Skitarii Battle-Pilgrym commanders and formations, the Bonepicker hosts, and vehicles like the Skitarii Triaros Armoured Conveyor, Skitarii Karacnos Assault Tank, Skitarii Krios Battle Tank, and Skitarii Krios Venator Tank Destroyer. This new information goes very handily with the all-new Mechanicum Skitarii Battle Group which includes the Skitarii Battle-Pilgrym Marshal, 16 x Skitarii Battle-Pilgrym Corpus miniatures (with multiple head options) and the Vultarax Stratos-Automata (which may look familiar to Nurgle fans and enemies alike). Overall the new Skitarii Battle-Pilgrym seem very disappointing, with their kangaroo-like legs (seen on some other 40K Mechanicus minis) and their ragged attire. Maybe it goes with the fluff, but it’s a huge move away from the  Skitarii we see in 40K and the Skitarii we have seen in resin for Horus Heresy from Forgeworld before.
Speaking of Horus Heresy, and Forgeworld come to think of it, we have two new resin models – the mighty Angron Transfigured, and Lotara Sarrin – Mistress of the Conqueror. The Angron has all the hallmarks of a Forgeworld kit, with sharp lines and very static pose – unfortunately the real thing that detracts from this model is its obviously incorrect scale. Have a look at the size of the heads and skulls around his neck… is this Angron’s little brother? Considering the hulking versions we have had before, this is a truly disappointing model, especially as this is him in his Transfigured state! Lotara Sarrin is a different matter – a really nice little model, with with her multiple World Eaters icons she could be nobody else in this universe! Pity she’s resin though.
It’s been a while since we’ve had some Lord of the Ring/ The Hobbit action, and but with the new Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game Journal: The Treachery of Gollum we have a few things for fans of this system. The expansion contains nine new “Narrative Scenarios” with a “Linked Campaign System” which is meant to connect each of the Narrative Scenarios so that the result of one battle will have an impact on the next. Rad idea! There’s also Painting Guides, Hobby Tutorials for the webbed tunnels of Shelob’s lair, the sewers of Osgiliath, and the Dead Marshes. In terms of miniatures there is the new The Path of Cirith Ungol: Shelob & Gollum, a really nice diorama of sorts showing the characters in situ. The other set is the new and very cool Foot Knights of Dol Amroth. Both kits are plastic, so give you the option for easy conversion. There’s also the new Cirith Ungol Dice Set if that is your want and desire!
We also have Made to Order this week with some very old (classic) Chaos miniatures from many many moons ago! We have the Classic Chaos Warhounds, Classic Chaos Chariot (a cool kit), the Chaos Sorcerer with Lore Familiar, Classic Chaos Sorcerers, and Classic Chaos Lord on Chaos Steed. These will be available to order until Monday 26th January. The other Made to Order this week are The Steel Rook and the Kroot The Hunter Strikes. Both of these minis (apart from being a yawn) are exclusives to events, but now available until Monday 26th January. Keep in mind that with these all being Made to Order, will be shipped within 180 days of ordering.
It’s also a delayed White Dwarf week for those in the southern hemisphere, with Issue 520 on pre-order this week.

As we move towards the next narrative for Warhammer 40K we're slowly getting a better idea what that storyline might entail - and surprise surprise - it's about Ultramarines. If we're to believe that Primarchs are returning (likely Perturabo with his Iron Warriors or even Russ) then Guilliman will certainly take centre stage.
The new expansion/ narrative event for 40K is 500 Worlds and comes with multiple small books and in two formats! 500 Worlds: Titus – The Battle for Unity Begins includes an 80-page softcover book featuring lore and background including the opposing forces of the Ultramarines and the Necrons. The second book, Dread Incursions, is also an 80-page softcover book which includes rules for boarding actions, two Boarding Actions Detachments, plus 12 new missions and linked campaigns. The third book is War on the Vespator Front, a 56-page narrative campaign softcover book and includes six new missions. The fourth book is Detachments, 16-pages with three new detachments for the Space Marines (Orbital Assault Force, Bastion Task Force, and Reclamation Force) and new Necrons detachments (Pantheon of Woe, Cursed Legion, and Cryptek Conclave). This set also includes a fold-out map of the Vespator Front and a 252-item sticker sheet to plot your victories. If you think that sounds good, there's also the 500 Worlds: Titus – The Battle for Unity Begins (Collector's Edition), which includes all of the above but this time it's in a slipcase with gold foil detailing, the three primary books are in hardback and include gold foil detailing, page edges, and gold ribbon bookmarks.
There's minis to go with this release, of course, with Captain Titus and The Wardens of Ultramar (sounds like a cheesy 80s superhero team) heading the releases. The set includes Captain Titus, Plenipotentiary Lucia Vestha, Astropath Dainal Kornelius, Legatus Aemelia Minervas, Commodore Gaius Silva, Veteran Sergeant Metaurus and Ancient Gadriel. It's the very first time we've had some of these roles in miniature before, and for sure we will be getting Ultramar Auxiliaries, surely! It's cool to see his inner circle and would be great to see more like this for Primarchs and other field commanders. Also in this release is an amazing set of Space Marine Heads (including what seems to be some female ones too), giving added kitbashing options for any Space Marine hobbyist! Want some heavy hitters, well we have them with the new Ancient in Terminator Armour and the new Terminator Assault Squad, which looks just amazing! So tempted by those Terminators!
For the Necrons, and let's be honest they like to so hard, they brought a God along. Yes that's right, they brought along the new C'tan Shard of the Nightbringer, which is a really nice update to the old model, without moving too far away from the original - but please check the price if you want a little giggle. They're backed up by Nekrosor Ammentar and the previously-leaked 500 Worlds Battalion: Necrons set that includes a Hexmark Destroyer, 2 x Lokhust Heavy Destroyers (great model), 3 x Skorpekh Destroyers, 3 x Ophydian Destroyers and 2 x Plasmacyte. The Necrons also provide the battlefield for this first clash, with the brilliant Boarding Actions Terrain Set: Tomb World back for a limited time.
In books this week we have the paperback of Fulgrim – The Perfect Son, Farsight: Blade of Truth in long-awaited paperback, the Vaults of Terra: The Omnibus, which includes novels The Carrion Throne, The Hollow Mountain, The Dark City, and short stories Argent, Sanguine, and Okira. There's also the Siege of Terra: The Shattered and the Soulless in paperback which includes the previously released Sons of the Selenar and Fury of Magnus novels.

Something has to be said for a year that starts off with pestilence - it's like 2020 all over again, this time without the masks and Ubereats! Yes Nurgle is back (yet again) and this time with a major range refresh for Warhammer: Age of $igmar, adding new troops, cultists and more. Interestingly enough, not being fans of Nurgle, this range refresh did actually peak some interest purely through the amazing sculpts and paint jobs, plus new versions of Oldhammer Beastmen.
Alrighty, well we start off with the Chaos Battletome: Maggotkin of Nurgle, which comes in Pop-A-Zit Gamer's Edition and Putrid Carcass Standard Edition. 
The new Nurgle forces have some absolutely spectacular models, none more so than the big-boi, Festus the Leechlord, beautifully vile in his magnificence! There's a tonne of detail on this model, a real dream to spend many many hours on. There's another command set too, with The Court of Gelgus Pust, which of course includes Old Pinhead himself Gelgus Pust, the amazing Belga the Cystwitch (sure to be a favourite at any painting competitions in 2026), and a Pestigor Shaman Foulhoof. That's right, a Pestigor, which goes all the way back to the early days of Warhammer when the Beastmen would align strongly with one Chaos God or another. We've seen Tzaangors for Tzeentch, and some Beastmen in the Slaanesh range, so here's hoping we get the Khorne ones too! Nurgle believes in elites too and here they are, the Putrid Blightkings, big bruisers to really ruin your day. Lacking some of the dynamism of the rest of the range, these are still pretty cool. Speaking of the good stuff, lets bring on the awesome Sloven Knights, who just have to be the epitome of Nurgle. Imagine seeing these guys silhouetted on the outskirts of your town, and you just know that it's going to be a very bad day! Speaking of which, the Rotswords are absolutely awesome. Very very tempted by these in an alternative black Nurgle scheme I had seen online. As much as those are cool, these have to take the cake - the Pestigors - have a look at those faces, at the paint scheme, honestly these are perfection!! Games Workshop have really knocked these out of the park. If you like your Nurgle all monstrous, then the Cankerborn are probably more your cup of tea - total beasts! Now if you were going to be a Chaos Cultist who would you pick? Slaanesh seems like fun, Khorne seems dangerous and a lot of work, and Tzeentch a bit too birdy! So which fool chose to be a a Nurgle Cultist and become a Pox-Wretch? Not a great job, but some cool minis to be the fodder for your next invasion. That's it for the new Nurgle stuff, but if you want some blasts from the more-recent-past then the Spoilpox Scrivener is back, plus there's the new Regiment of Renown: The Pustules, (including old Spoilpox Scrivener, Herald of Nurgle, a Feculent Gnarlmaw and 10 x Plaguebearers) and Spearhead: Maggotkin of Nurgle – Bubonic Cell, (which includes a Rotbringer Sorcerer, a Beast of Nurgle, 6 x Nurglings and 10 x Rotmire Creed miniatures). Certainly very different, and maybe something Nurgle players would get into. The Nurgle range refresh comes with the new Warscroll Cards: Maggotkin of Nurgle and ​Maggotkin of Nurgle Dice.
Also in Age of $igmar this week (though I thought they were initially for Warhammer: The Old World), the 
Spearhead: Helsmiths of Hashut – Helforge Host is out. It includes a War Despot, Dominator Engine, Tormentor Bombard/ Deathshrieker Rocket Battery and 11 x Infernal Cohort miniatures - not a bad start!!
In Warhammer 40K-land the Sisters of Battle Army Set which launched them back into the battlefield just a few short years ago is back on Made to Order. It includes a Canoness, a Penitent Engine, 4 x Sisters Repentia and 1 x Repentia Superior, 3 x Arco-flagellants, 5 x Seraphim and 10 x Battle Sisters. This is your chance to get the first iteration of these minis before they went into the multi-pose form we have now.
In books this week we have a new Grombrindal book with Grombrindal: Ancestor's Burden in paperback, and a the latest Gotrek Gurnisson novel Verminslayer now in paperback too. It's also a White Dwarf week for the rest of the world, except Oceania... 
For Oceania we also have the delayed release of the Legiones Astartes: Siege Assault Battle Group which includes a Leviathan Siege Dreadnought, 10 x MKIII Breacher Squad miniatures (that is the newer inferior MKIIIs with the new very needed Breacher upgrade sprue), 6 x Cataphractii Terminators with volkite chargers and power mauls and 6x Cataphractii Terminators with combi-bolters and power fists. These Cataphractii are the new slimmer, slightly stretched versions which have been derided online but every YouTuber paid to paint them amazingly loves them. These could have been better, and it's a real shame more care wasn't taken to make them a fantastic update to the older ones. 

It's the end of the year, so it's pretty quiet in pre-order land. Really interesting to see the new Huron Blackheart mini previewed, and makes us wonder if we will see a Badab Wars campaign in the style of Horus Heresy any time soon.
But onto this week, with White Dwarf 519 having a street date of January 9th 2026, but up on the pre-orders page today.
The other orderable material is the Made to Order terrain with the ​Battlezone: Mechanicus – Tectonic Fragdrill always a popular item when it's around. A personal favourite are the Macroplasma Batteries which just seem like such versatile little terrain pieces. We've also got the lump that is the Generatorum Hub, the Mechasite Minoris, two fan favourites the Battlezone: Mechanicus – Galvanic Servohaulers and Battlezone: Mechanicus – Haemotrope Reactors, and then we go old school (in terms of modern terrain) and get the Battlezone: Mechanicus – Transterranic Gantries and Battlezone: Mechanicus – Galvanic Magnavent. They're a bit dated now, not totally compatible with the Kill Team terrain, but still versatile.
​On New Years Day, there's also the Sisters of Battle Made To Order too.

The recent Necromunda campaign comes to a conclusion with the final expansion in the series - Necromunda: The Aranthian Succession – Spire of Primus - with Lady Haera and the forces of Helmawr up against the usurper, Ozostium Aranthus. The new book adds new forces and lore to the ever-expanding Necromunda lore, and with these new rules comes new plastic minis, including Ozostium Aranthus, the Divine Prince. This striking new plastic miniature comes in striking bespoke armour and alternate heads. Another new miniature set from the expansion are the Palanite Justicars, enforcers of the law sent directly from the ruling class. This design goes back to some of the concepts done by John Blanche for the original version of Necromunda, Confrontation, which had an incredibly rich lore and highly detailed social structure. The Justicars have multiple weapon options and certainly have a different look to the Enforcers we are used to - not sure they vibe with us. Far from the top-tier of society are the new Underhive Hangers-on, a set we'd usually see in resin, but now in plastic. The set includes an Ammo-jack, Slopper, Hive Watcher, Dome, Runner, and Rogue Doc with Medi skull, a nice mix of minis for mercenaries in a few games systems. Fans of Squats rejoice as the new Ironhead Squat Charter Masters and Drill Masters get their release, so encased in armour you'd wonder how they would move! The last Necromunda release on pre-order this week is the new Palanite Enforcer Weapons & Upgrades, adding new weapons and heads to the Enforcer range. Be aware though that this set is only compatible with the Palanite Enforcer Patrol and Palanite Enforcers Captains & Sergeants kits.
Away from the main range, there's tiny armies afield with the new Journal Strategia – The Ruin of the Salamanders expansion on pre-order this week, bringing new rules for super-heavies and telling the story of the slaughter of the Salamanders at Istvaan V. In terms of miniatures there's the new Legions Imperialis: Falchion / Ascalon Super-heavy Tanks and Legions Imperialis: Fellblade / Glaive Super-heavy Tanks kits. Speaking of Salamanders, the new Legions Imperialis: Saturnine Heavy Assault Cadre which includes 6 x Saturnine Terminator Squads, 4 x Saturnine Dreadnoughts, 2 x Saturnine Command Squads. If you'd prefer a larger force with the new Saturnine Terminators, then the Legions Imperialis: Legiones Astartes – Saturnine Battle Group is for you. Meanwhile you can expand your forces with the Legions Imperialis: Legiones Astartes – Combined Arms Battle Group, the Legions Imperialis: Araknae Weapons Platform Batteries or the Legions Imperialis: Solar Auxilia – Combined Arms Battle Group.

The lure of the boxed game is back, and this time with the latest incarnation of Warhammer Quest, Darkwater. This box sees our heroes delving into the wastes corrupted by Nurgle, and this box seems to be full of surprises - especially for the new additions to the already sizeable range of Nurgle miniatures! Warhammer Quest: Darkwater comes with 49 x push-fit plastic (yuck, but okay) miniatures, which include your heroes: Edmark Valoran, Bren Tylis, Inara Sion, Drolf Ironhead, Kelthannor, Drasher Vorn, and Jacobus Vyne with Wisper the all-too-common pet. The bad guys also have heroes, but just less shiny, with Gelgus Pust, the incredible Belga the Cystwitch, Mulgoth the Cleaver, and Shaman Foulhoof. These are supported by 2 x Cankerborn, 3 x very cool Blight Templars, 6 x Mire Kelpies, 8 x Pestigors (by the Gods, new Beastmen. AWESOME!), and 14 x Pox-Wretches (which really do look like digital kitbashes of the Pox-Walkers). There's also the 36-page softback rulebook and a new format hardback map book which includes foldout maps to play your games on. Another great box, surely to be picked up by Nurgle fans for the new troops, even if the heroes do seem to lack a little bit of flair! We should expect there will be multi-part/multi-pose versions of these kits one would think, but who knows when - certainly the previews we have seen show an amazing looking range!
Possibly as a precursor to these new minis, we have the new Age of $igmar expansion, Path to Glory: Blighted Wilds, which sees Nurgle invade the Mortal Realms yet again, giving you the opportunity to build and the level up your troops and champions. They say "a special roster makes it easy to record the progress of your warriors, along with their paths, enhancements, and lore(s)", so that sounds interesting! Certainly very thematic!
In books this week we have the new Demolisher in Hardback and Special Edition (have to admit these new Imperial Guard Special Edition covers don't work for us - bit too minimalist), plus The Rise of Nagash omnibus in Paperback which includes the novels Nagash the Sorcerer, Nagash the Unbroken, and Nagash Immortal, plus the short story Picking the Bones.
This week also sees the pre-orders for the very special White Dwarf 518 which marks the 50th anniversary of Games Workshop. Being that it's such a landmark it would be nice to hear from the old guard like Jervis Johnson, Andy Chambers, the Perry Twins, Jes Goodwin etc, but the contents look a little less nostalgic and a little more navel-gazing.

The countries that missed out on the Hobgrot Vandalz and Infernal Cohort also have these added to their re-orders this week. Both of these kits look brilliant and are very tempting to add to the Christmas list, despite the price! 

Chaos Marauders have some of the most venerable minis in the Games Workshop library, and even so, they were amazing minis not only for their time but the heads have lived much larger lives as conversion fodder for decades. Now, as Chaos gets an overall range refresh, these fantastic, thematic miniature have receive a glow-up, and wow did GW do an amazing job. Great minis, and for a surprising environment - Warhammer: The Old World! Not Age of $igmar, but the venerable system that has kept on giving and driven the hobby community mad with excitement. The Chaos Marauders launch inside the new Arcane Journal: The Razing of Westerland, with tweaked stats, lore, their four "primordial spirits" (ie. Chaos Gods in disguise) and how they worship them and more. The big love this week though, is the Warriors of Chaos: Chaos Marauders Army Reinforcement Set, with 40 x Chaos Marauders (with options for hand weapons and shields, great weapons, or flails) and 10 x Marauder Horsemen (with spear and shield or flail options). If you want to build an army - this is for you - but for the price, maybe dip your toe into the separate releases. In other Warhammer: The Old World releases this week we also have the Map of the Old World – Imperial Calendar 2278. Go back in time and see the world that was!
Meanwhile, for those more into power armour than steel and fur, Warhammer 40K is for you, and leading that assault is Ferren Areios of the Ultramarines. Short on pointy arm, large of hammer, this guy is kind of boring but less so if you cut him up. Less boring and very dynamic is the White Scars Ride-or-Die guy Suboden Khan. He comes with a helmeted head option as well, but come on - he's a White Scar - let him have his top knot in the wind.

The narrative arc for Horus Heresy is over (50+ books later) and now The Scouring begins. The story begins in the new Ashes of the Imperium: The Scouring Book 1 - which comes in Premium Edition and Hardback. There's some confusing messaging around the Premium Edition with this "This is your first chance to buy this edition, which is currently only available while stocks last" written under the description, but Games Workshop later stating that "This edition may return to print at a future date". The reality is this will sell out, what we are yet to see is if Games Workshop follow through on their promise and reprint. It's been a huge bone of contention that they have such limited print runs, don't adequately police scalpers and have basically made this entire "limited edition" thing a massive toxic mess, with readers being unable to get certain volumes due to "demand". Let's see what happens, but hopefully they can sort themselves out. The Scouring is a really interesting time and sees more Marine vs Marine action, plus a brutal pogrom against collaborators on both sides. In other books we have the Warhammer 40k themed Master of Rites in Special Edition and hardback, and Hell's Last in paperback.

In an exciting game of catch up, the regions that missed out some on some earlier releases will be getting the Traitor Enforcer, Combat Patrol: Ultramarines, Ultramarines Upgrades and Transfers and ​Space Marines Battleforce: Crux Terminatus boxed sets on pre-order this week too.

In some parts of the world the big release this week will be yet more bloody Ultramarines! The brand new Ancient in Terminator Armour is now available outside the Space Marines Battleforce: Crux Terminatus box and includes two banner topper options, two right arm poses, and a choice of four heads.

Games Workshop haven't gone all out this year with some typical recycling of ideas (hello Tau!!), but there's still good stuff in here - so come check it out.

Let's start with Warhammer 40K and the Space Marines Battleforce: Iron Halo Strike Force, which would be the perfect way to start or add new units for any Space Marine force and includes 5 x Company Heroes (including a Captain), a Lieutenant, Redemptor Dreadnought, Ballistus Dreadnought, 5 x Sternguard Veterans, 5 x Hellblasters, plus this is first way to get the new plastic Helmeted Heads - 30 x Bare heads and 6 x Terminator heads. A real winner out of the Warhammer 40K options is the Astra Militarum Battleforce: Krieg Siege Platoon giving you a really solid amount of troops and support including 7 x Krieg Command Squad miniatures, 2 x Artillery Teams, 5 x Krieg Combat Engineers, and 20 x Death Korps of Krieg troopers. If "bad guys" are more your cup of tea, then the Chaos Space Marines Battleforce: Hellforged Warband is the way to go, which has all the standard minis we get these days; a Lord Discordant, Chaos Rhino, Venomcrawler, 2 x Obliterators, 5 x Havocs and 10 x Legionaries. Really not an exciting option, but maybe a good way to start. Speaking of Chaos, its the first year that Slaanesh get their very own Xmas box (Slaanesh would love Christmas!!) in the form of the Emperor’s Children Battleforce: Blissbound Warband, and look who's here - Fulgrim, Daemon Primarch of Slaanesh, 6 x of the elite Flawless Blades and 6 x Noise Marines. Pretty awesome to get a Primarch in a box like this, even if it's not the first time! While the Chaos Battleforce is pretty boring, check this out for copy-paste, the T’au Empire Battleforce: Farsight Cadre which includes Commander Farsight, a Riptide Battlesuit and drones, a Broadside Battlesuit and drones and 3 x Crisis Battlesuits and drones. This is the standard Tau Battleforce we keep getting in rotation with the Stealth version EVERY YEAR!! Very uninteresting, very boring, when what would be really fun would be a great combined arms infantry box with Kroot, Tau and Vespid - great fun and probably really popular. Yet another wasted opportunity to get people into Tau and also serve the Tau hobbyist community. In more Xenos news, the Tyranids Battleforce: Crusher Stampede with a Neurotyrant (and Neuroloids), Screamer-Killer, Tyrannofex/ Tervigon, Haruspex/ Exocrine and Maleceptor/ Toxicrene may have a low model count, but it's a huge project to undertaker with all that bioorganic armour. Not Xenos but not Imperial, the Leagues of Votann Battleforce: Cthonian Prospect is an interesting one, with Brôkhyr Iron-master (plus a Ironkin Assistant, and 3 x E-COGs), a Kapricus Defender/ Kapricus Carrier, 2 x Cthonian Earthshakers, 3 x Brôkhyr Thunderkyn and 10 x Cthonian Beserks.
​In the world of Warhammer: Age of $igmar we have the very tempting Skaven: Skryre Warpswarm, bringing the Arch-Warlock, a Ratling Warpblaster, 3 x Warplock Jezzails, 3 x Warpspark Weapon Battery teams, 5 x Acolyte Globadiers and 20 of the awesome Stormvermin. From the forest we have the Sylvaneth: Outcast Spitegrove with Drycha Hamadreth, a Spirit of Durthu/ Treelord/ Treelord Ancient, 15 x Spite-Revenants/ Tree-Revenants and 20 x Dryads. A really great set that would look amazing on the tabletop if you decided to to the high contrast version we're seeing more and more from hobbyists. Your friends and mine, the Soulblight Gravelords meanwhile, have the Lances of the Crimson Keep which brings Prince Vhordrai, Lord of the Crimson Keep/ Revenant Draconith, 3 x Fell Bats and 10 x Blood Knights to battle. Not sure about this one, but we have had a lot of Skeleton and Vampire boxes recently, so there's probably what you're after elsewhere anyway. Lastly in the Age of $igmar Xmas Battleforces are the Gloomspite Gitz: Dankhold Rampage which includes Trugg, the Troggoth King, a Dankhold Troggoth/ Dankhold Troggboss, 3 x Fellwater Troggoths and 6 x Rockgut Troggoths. A fun one if you like some big stompy friends!
++ As an aside here, it's really interesting that we didn't get Xmas Battleforces for Warhammer: The Old World. It would have been an awesome opportunity to get some extra massed troops and maybe even themed armies under named commanders - a bit like the old Regiments of Renown sets ++
In books this week we have the Special Edition of Steel Tread.

It’s Kill Team, and finally the Tau get some love! But not just any love, because the classic XV26 Stealth Suit has had an upgrade adding more dynamism to this old lady! “How can I get this?”, you ask - well the brand new Kill Team: Dead Silence is your answer, sporting not only some stealth Tau, but also some stealth Space Wolves. Wolves are an interesting choice, especially considering Raven Guard or even Alpha Legion would be a seemingly better fit! None the less, Kill Team: Blind Silence doesn’t come with scenery, but it does come with 8 of the afore-mentioned XV26 Stealth Battlesuits with standard loadout, plus extra parts to build Kill Team specialists like the Lodestar, and Neutraliser. The Wolf Scouts Kill Team, meanwhile, gives you 5 Phobos armoured dudes, plus a wolf, and of course you will get the parts to build optional specialists like the Fangbearer, Rune Priest Skjald, and a guy with a big round handbag! This set also comes with the softcover Dead Silence Dossier, maps, Campaign Log Pad, Datacards for the Tau and Space Wolf operatives, token sheet and decals. Of specific note must be the addition of tactical rocks for the Wolf Scouts!
 If you’re a Kill Team fan, then you’re in luck, because this week we also have the individual release of the Killzone: Tomb World bringing us some rare Necron terrain and the very first to show us inside a Tomb World (thus the name – no real surprise there).

What a joy to have a game that brings humour and epic violence together and calls it "sport" - I guess it's like real life! Blood Bowl is back, this time as the Blood Bowl – Third Season Edition! A big fan favourite and a place to find really fantastic alternative sculpts and kitbash material for your armies, this really has been a gift that keeps on giving. The brand new set includes two teams; 12 x red plastic Bretonnian team players and 14 x bone-coloured plastic Tomb Kings players, the 200-page hardback Blood Bowl: The Official Rulebook – Third Season Edition!, a double-sided fold-out pitch, 2 x Double-sided cardboard team Dugouts, plastic game tokens, Tomb Kings-themed dice, Bretonnian-themed dice, cheat sheets and transfer sheets for both teams. That is everything you need to play - all in one box. It's kidn of a shame we didn't get two referee models for fun. but that's okay! What a great set and perfect for a Christmas present or to have when the family comes around. Honestly, big fan of this!

We have the very proud and arrogant Bretonnian Blood Bowl Team: The Brionne Barons, plus you can get more on their rules and star players in Blood Bowl Spike! Journal Issue 19 and also add to their gameplay with the Bretonnian Team Reference Card Pack and Bretonnian Team Dice Set. If you relaly want to get thematic, then there's also the Bretonnian Pitch: Double-sided Pitch and Dugouts set.
The Bretonnians arent the only ones to get the treatment though - bring on the best team so far; the Tomb Kings Blood Bowl Team: The Nehekhara Nightmares. Damn, can't wait to see some of those minis turn up in people Warhammer: The Old World armies. The other game asset that's out seperately are the Blood Bowl: Official Game Tokens, plastic but looking metallic, these are really vital for the game and a different fun mechanic.

++ While we're talking about Blood Bowl, I think it would be a really smart idea for Games Workshop to bring out a plastic stadium seating/ bleachers set. It would be a huge seller, and could be used in Warhammer for jousting, Warcry for gladiator arenas, even Warhammer 40K and Necromunda. Seems to be a great idea - give it a go Games Workshop! ++

In books this week we have the new ​Vagabond Squadron in Special Edition and hardback and the new Seraphon-themed Starseer's Ruin in hardback.

If you're a long-time fan of Warhammer 40K or Warhammer in general, there's a specific Chapter of Space Marines you may never have heard about. Lost in the midst of time, these heroes are finally getting the spotlight they so richly deserve, and yes I'm talking about the little-seen Ultramarines. Those shy, retiring... okay I can't keep up the pretext anymore! Seriously? MORE Ultramarines? Urgh, the boring Blue Boys, the poster children of Warhammer 40K are getting yet more attention, granted, two of these minis are needed, but the rest? Why??  
So lets get to the legitimate releases - we have the Primaris-ified living legend himself, Marneus Calgar in Armour of Antilochus. An upscaled and version of his former self, this mini is very cool and a must-have for Ultras hobbyists - but he's not the best boy this week. No, that honour goes to Cato Sicarius in his ornate armour, backbanner and Victrix-style helmet. A fantastic mini, almost like as smaller version of the orginal Forge World Roboute Girlyman, this guy is here to lead and lead he does. Absolute standout this week! Speaking of Victrix, the new Victrix Honour Guard are on pre-order this week too, and the kit has some much-needed flexibility, with the option to build three Victrix dudes, or you can build one of them as a Chapter Champion, and another can be built as a Chapter Ancient, with the Banner of Macragge. That's a cool kit, giving you some nice Command options.
Now here's where a mini didn't have to be an Ultramarine - the Captain with Jump Pack and Relic Shield is a cool mini, would it have killed you to paint him up as a Raven Guard or Blood Angel? Noooo. Bring back more generic Marines like in the old days when there were colour schemes on the side of the boxes to get excited about! There's some more Ultras (see below) and there's also the Ultramarines Dice.
It's a 40K week and we have the new Drukhari Archon model availble seperately for the first time. This is a brilliant kit, giving you gender, helmet and weapon options. Drukhari players need love, and this mini answers some long held prayers, being a vast improvement on the previous model. 
How do you feel about Da Red Gobbo? Well he's hanging around again, but this time it's the Da Red Gobbo's Tinboy, giving him a nice armoured suit made in the image of the Vostroyans. Does this mean we will be seeing new Vostroyans soon? One can live in hope!
Two former Kill Teams are making their way into the main range as well, with the Legionaries and ​Traitor Guardsmen Squad being repackaged to add to your 40K armies.
In books this week we have the Death Korps of Krieg-themed The Relentless Dead, in both Special Edition and Hardback. Jump on this if you want it, the Special Edition is probably already sold out, plus Da Red Gobbo's Last Stand in hardback.

Interesting GW doen't think that the audience will buy both books so they include some of the same stories in both... In other books we have the air battle-themed Double Eagle and ​Interceptor City both in paperback.

It seems Australia and New Zealand get spared some of the Ultramarines gushing, but for the rest of you, suffer with this new Ultramarines Upgrades and Transfers, which is a bit boring, but fine! There's also a new Battleforce, with Battleforce: Crux Terminatus the first set to include the new Ancient in Terminator Armour and ten brand new Assault Terminators. You also get a multi-part Terminator Captain, a Terminator Chaplain, and five regular multi-part Terminators. As well as the Battleforce, there's also a new Combat Patrol: Ultramarines, which includes Chief Librarian Tigurius, 3 x Aggressors, 3 x Bladeguard Veterans, 5 x Reivers, 5 x Intercessors, plus the brand new Ultramarines Upgrades and Transfers set.
The other 40K release is the other Kill Team now available seperately, and its the ​Traitor Enforcer with Ogryn Bodyguard.

It's quite rare to see a product range that's almost perfect - but the Helsmiths of Hashut have reimagined the old Chaos Dwarves so brilliantly that it's very hard to resist being sucked into their orbit. For many of us, this week will be one to be very disciplined and nide our wallets somewhere!
Giving us the rules and lore we all need is the Chaos Battletome: Helsmiths of Hashut which comes in Ashen Hooves Gamer's Edition and Vengeful Anvils Standard Edition. There's also a big selection of minis, including the miniatures from the former Army Box plus what seems like the rest of the range as well. Leading off the charge is the War Despot, a powerful leader who seems to carry all the rage that the Helsmiths embody - a pretty big achievement in such a small miniature! The other single leader model is the Daemonsmith/Ashen Elder combi-kit, which really does make two miniature that are so different! This set also gives you some lovely bitz to add to your bitz box. The big model in this range is the Urak Taar the First Daemonsmith/ Daemonsmith on Infernal Taurus combi-kit - and it's stunning - a huge winged bull with three character options, again, all very different and incredibly thematic! Pain in the butt to paint, but a gorgeous kit. A standout favourite is the Bull Centaurs/Annointed Sentinels combi-kit. How would you choose? Both amazing, both dynamic and just awesome. These embody the whole Helsmiths of Hashut vibe and are just fantastic. In terms of infantry models we have the Infernal Razers (which can be armed with Grizmalok Blunderbusses or Karagthrun Flamehurlers), the the Infernal Cohort core unit (with either blades or spears), and the much-maligned Hobgrot Vandalz, infantry fodder but still very cool minis and a huge improvement on the awful Hobgrots we got with the Age of $igmar Swamp Orcs a few years ago. In terms of heavy hitters we have the Dominator Engine (which comes with either melee or ranged weapons) and the Deathshrieker Rocket Battery/Tormentor Bombard combi-kit, which gives your Helsmiths much needed firepower. There's also the Helsmiths of Hashut Dice, but no amry cards this week, so ideally they will be soon.

The other omnibus is for Age of $igmar - On the Shoulders of Giants And Other Stories in paperback which features the novella On the Shoulders of Giants, and the short stories The Wanderer, Hounds, Roadwarden, Murder by Moonlight, The Manse of Mirrors, Past Returns, False Dawn, River of Death, The Siege of Greenspire, The Book of Transformations, and The Nameless.
Also in books this week is Abraxia: Spear of the Everchosen in hardback.

The Iron Hands don't get as much love as they should - either the Legion or the Chapter depending on your games system! Well this week the Iron Hands in Warhammer 40K get a new character with Caanok Var and his awesome power maul. We don't see power mauls enough, and this Japanese kanabō-style is awesome! Also in Iron Hands-land is their new Combat Patrol, which includes the awesome Techmarine, 2 x Firestrike Servo-turrets and 10 x Heavy Intercessors. There's also some new Iron Hands Dice. The White Scars also get their Combat Patrol with the brand new Suboden Khan mini, an Impulsor, 3 x Outriders and 5 x Assault Intercessors. Like the Iron Hands, there's also some White Scars Dice on pre-order this week. The last Combat Patrol on pre-order is for the Harlequins, which includes 6 x Harlequin minis, 2 x Skyweavers, 2 x Starweaver/ Voidweaver, and a Solitaire. 
Unfortunately the Warhammer Day 2025 miniature this year isn't anything to write home about (he says while writing about it) with Urkhan the Dark Warden stepping up to the plate. He looks cool with his helmet off, but frankly he looks more at home in Warhammer: The Old World than Age of $igmar, matching the aesthetic of the old mono-pose Warriors of Chaos. Swing and a miss!
In books this week we have the new Horus Heresy-themed Dropsite Massacre in hardback. In audiobook land there's two older novellas that have made their way to an audible (no pun intended) medium. both Spear of Ultramar and Dreadwing were released in 2018 and will be released on the 17th of October. I've read Dreadwing and liked it a lot, so despite it's short length it might be worth a listen!
Previewed last week but not appearing in the Australian or New Zealand webstore is the Captain with Jump Pack and Relic Shield. Maybe it's been delayed here ro forgotten, but keep an eye out for it if you have been waiting.

A few weeks ago Australia and New Zealand didn't get the big Horus Heresy releases that week, well now we have. Mortgage the cat because the price of the Fellblade Super-Heavy Battle Tank is nuts!! That's a lot of tank and a lot of money! The must-anticipated MkII Assault Squad is also pricey, so is definitely one to get from independent retailers, and of course the rather lacklustre Journal Tactica: The Forges of Saturn.

Ho Ho Ho! It's that time of year again, when the industrial furnaces of South East and Northern Asia ramp up to produce loads of Christmas crap from Games Workshop. Do you need this? No. Do you want this? Probably not really! 
Games Workshop takes these products so seriously some of them aren't even in the webstore, so if you are so inclined, toddle along to a store and see what they have. It's a bumper week for Age of $igmar fans with a new game and some decent boxed sets, Warhammer: The Old World fans with new minis for the Undead of Khemri, and Combat Force sets for Legions Imperialis.
It's a fact that the Undead of Khemri are the best force in Warhammer: The Old World (well fact in our minds) but this week the new Arcane Journal: The War of Settra's Fury is planning to convert you to their side. The new book gives expanded lore and rules as we see Settra's forces enter the Kingdom of Man and take on the Empire, Dwarves and Bretonnians. A must-have for player and hobbyists of all those factions. As well as the new Arcane Journal, there's also some great new leadership minis for the Undead, with the Royal Heralds and Liche Priests on pre-order this weekend. Both boxes have alternative heads and weapons making them great for bitz, but also flexible enough to make an interesting and bespoke leader for your forces. The price is pretty high, working out at $2 AUD per piece - this is defintely one to get from independent stockists! 
In Age of $igmar we have a new entrant into the ​Warhammer Underworlds series of games, with Spitewood bringing two new warbands to the game - Kurnoth's Heralds from the Sylvaneth and the Blood of the Bull from the Chaos Dwarf faction. Great to already see some new minis for the Chaos Dwarves (despite the full range not being out yet) and these Kurnoth's Heralds are great! We finally have some Centaurs backing up the Sylvaneth! There is also a set of cards for most existing Warhammer Underworlds warbands in the Warbands of Spitewood set, allowing you to play them in this new setting. 
If warbands are your thing, then these boxes give you a chance to pick up some great minis for each Grand Alliance (do we still use that term?). In Death Warbands: Morbid Minions we have the Exiled Dead, Sons of Velmorn, Skinnerkin and Thorns of the Briar Queen. The Chaos Warbands: Reavers of Ruin gives you the Gnarlspirit Pack, Skittershank's Clawpack, the Thricefold Discord, and the Wurmspat. The Order Warbands: Seekers in Shadow includes: Xandire's Truthseekers, the Shadeborn, the Starblood Stalkers, and Elathain's Soulraid. While Destruction Warbands: Gitz and Goliaths is Zarbag's Gitz, Hrothgorn's Mantrappers, Mollog's Mob, and Rippa's Snarlfangs. Not cheap, but a big saving on buying them seperately.
Meanwhile, in the world of tiny minis, ​Legions Imperialis have three Combat Forces - the Mechanicum Combat Force, Legiones Astartes Combat Force and the Solar Auxilia Combat Force. Big armies to bolster your existing force or maybe start in the game.
In books this week we have the prestige-looking Yarrick: The Box Set which includes the novels Imperial Creed, and The Pyres of Armageddon, plus the short stories Chains of Golgotha, A Plague of Saints, The Wreckage, Evil Eye, The Gallows Saint, Sacrificial, and Sarcophagus.
​For everyone except Australia and New Zealand you also get White Dwarf 517 too. We'll just wait over here for the English to be translated into Oceanic. Oh what a chore that must be!

The Warhammer 40k universe is really not a nice place, and as such there's really no "good guys". The Tau probably get closest, but in relaity you don't play as a good guy! However, when it comes to a spectrum. the Dark Eldar (or Drukhari) are definitely the very worst of the bad guys. Slave traders, pirates, raiders, torturers - there's no real positive side, unless you like politcal infighting, treachery and cruel violence... which in this game, we do! It does help that the Drukhari are from the design mind of Jes Goodwin, portraying the flipside to his Eldar. Beautifully designed, brilliantly modelled, the Drukhari are truly amazing models and have been for well over a decade. They have stood the test of time and keep on looking amazing. This week we have the pre-orders for the new Drukhari Codex, an amazing Battleforce and a new character - lets dive in!
The new Codex: Drukhari comes in two flavours Spiky Visage of Death Collectors Edition and Heartless Raiders Standard Edition. There's an interesting new mechanic in this Codex, with rules for battling rival lords and trading the spoils of war in Crusade campaigns, both of which sound really interesting and adding a new flavour that could be great in terms of expanding the narrative element. This new Codex is acc0mpanied by a new combat leader, Lady Malys, who doesn't quite match the look of the other miniatures, so here's hoping this isn't a portent of things to come in a range refresh! Now this is cool - if you are vaguely interested in Drukhari, you have Drukhari and need reinforcements, or you even just like the Drukhari miniatures - then the Drukhari Battleforce: Realspace Raiders is for you. It has EVERYTHING you need in terms of troops. Lead by the brand new Archon miniature, who has mutiple weapon and gender build options, this box packs a punch! It also comes with a light support/ transport Venom, 5 x winged Scourges, 5 x elite Incubi, 5 x fast attack Hellions, 10 x Kabalite Warriors and 10 x assault Wyches. This is a great box! I already have multiples of these minis and want to buy it!! If you're more into the Haemonculus Covens, then the new Combat Patrol: Drukhari is for you, with a Haemonculus, 2 x Cronos/ Talos and 10 x Wracks. Speaking of Wracks, these guys have been reboxed for this edition too and can be bought seperately. Of course we also have the Drukhari Dice (why are these blue and yellow?) and Drukhari Datasheet Cards.
Warhammer 40K also has two new Combat Patrols on pre-order this weekend as well. The Combat Patrol: Imperial Fists includes 5 x Company Heroes, 5 x Intercessors, 5 x Heavy Intercessors, 5 x Terminators and an Imperial Fists upgrade frame. This is a great set for any any Space Marines player to pick up, especially with the Company Heroes and Terminators. The other Combat Patrol is the Combat Patrol: Death Korps of Krieg which includes 5 x Death Riders, Krieg Heavy Weapons Squads, 10 x Death Korps of Krieg soldiers and a Krieg Command Squad. Another very cool set!
In books this week we have a new Necron-themed novel, Tomb World which is avaible in hardback and also a cool Special Edition. There's also Morvenn Vahl: Spear of Faith in paperback, plus it's a White Dwarf week with Issue 516 celebrating 10 years since Warhammer died and Age of $igmar was born! 

Horus Heresy, you glorious beast! It's the gift that keeps on giving, and this week there's a bevy of Horus Heresy pre-orders - but not for everyone! Unfortunately for Australia and New Zealand, three of the main pieces are delayed (see below), but as far as all the things we can pre-order this weekend, let's go for a tour!
First up there's three Combat Forces for Horus Heresy, leading gthe charge is The Legiones Astartes: Combat Force, which includes a Leviathan Dreadnought (with Ranged Weapons), a Deimos pattern Rhino, 10 MkVI Tactical Squad Legionaries and 10 MkVI Heavy Support Squad Legionaries (which can be made with either the missile launcher or the heavy bolter). Great set to start with, especially with a transport. The Solar Auxilia: Combat Force comes with a Leman Russ Strike Tank, 2 Hermes Light Sentinels/ Veletaris Sentinels, 5 Tactical Command Section/ Legatine Command Section/ Line Command Section members, and 20 Lasrifle Section Auxiliaries. Pretty solid, and buying multiples of this box will not only give you savings on the RRP, but also a quick army all in one swoop. The Mechanicum: Combat Force is a Thanatar Cavas Siege-automata, 2 Castellax Battle-automata, and 6 of the amazing Thallax. This is brutal hitting power, and those Thallax are fantastic minis! All these boxes are a perfect addition to whatever force you're into.
We've seen some reall ynice new minis come out for Middle-earth in recent times, and the new The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim expansion gives us even more. The book gives us new missions based on the movie The War of the Rohirrim plus more, expanding the universe, quite literally. In terms of miniature we have the new Helm Hammerhand, King of Rohan, Théodred, Prince of Rohan, Fréaláf Hildeson, Olwyn & Lief, Heroes of Rohan. All these are beautifully painted and show just how great these miniatures really are. There's also some new Rohirrim Dice Set and ​Hill Tribesmen Dice Set.
In books this week we have Night Lords-themed The Remnant Blade in Hardback, the Eldar pirate-themed Voidscarred in Hardback and also a very garish Special Edition. As stated above, theres' three key Horus Heresy pre-orders that some of us miss out on this week, the titanic Fellblade Super-heavy Battle Tank, the glorious Astartes MkII Assault Squad with their new assault weapons and jump packs, and Journal Tactica: The Forges of Saturn - which considering the reviews of the first Journal Tactica, might not be worth it anyway. Journal Tactica: The Forges of Saturn goes into depth on the origins of the Saturnine-pattern suits, including their use in the Great Crusade and how Vulkan brought them back to life. There's also rules for new units; Centurions and Command Squads in Saturnine armour, Word Bearers in daemon-infused Terminator unit, and new Prosperine arcana for the Thousand Sons.
