First of all - apologies for the lateness of this post - the world has conspired against me. Sometimes life just gets in the way! Which considering the topic of today's White Dwarf - the Blood Angels who are all about glorious death - is oddly ironic. This week's White Dwarf if very much about Shield of Baal: Deathstorm, part 2 in the Shield of Baal campaign which is marked with a limited edition boxed set of rules and miniatures.. We saw this last with the Sanctus Reach: Stormclaw, which sold very well. I'm kind of surprised this hasn't sold out already... Also in this issue there are new Hobbit miniatures, a Deathstorm battle report, Codex Apocrypha deals with the Necrons plus the new Iron Warriors Contemptor and another Flesh Tearers book - I tell you, these guys are going to be important!! - + + More After The Jump + + |

I'm sure you've stumbled across this by now - but how exciting is the new Star Wars teaser trailer? It looks like Star Wars, it feels like Star Wars, and that feeling of expectation is palpable. No matter how worried or sceptical you are about Disney doing this, you HAVE to be excited! Forge World have announced the release of their Solar Auxilia Veletaris Storm Section.
We first saw these back in September when they appeared at Forge World's Open Day in the Netherlands and they instantly impressed. I don't know if it's the cool armour or the Volkite Chargers but these guys are very very cool! The set makes ten models, including a Sergeant and a Vox Operator and goes for around $80 AUD - that's $8 a model... worth it? They're pretty damn cool, despite that weird paint job!
DreamForge continue to impress, this time with finalised images of their Eisenkern Panzerjagers. Hot on the heels of the Dreamforge Valkir Heavy Troopers & The Eisenkern Stug images, DreamForge have really stepped up a notch showing how versatile and full their universe is.
Not only are their preview images, we also have a kit breakdown so you see exactly what you get! Notice the Panzerjager helmets and the unique female walking style - very schmick! Backers of the Kickstarter should start seeing these in December (happy Xmas to you!) and the rest of us hopefully soon after...
Forge World have given us a sneak peak at some of the new Imperial Fist bits included in their soon-to-be-released upgrade set for the Imperial Fists Legion.. Like past upgrade sets these seem to be built around a particular mark of armour - this one is seemingly the uber-cool MKIV.
Have a look at that shield - what a beast!! Also interesting to see Imperial Fists with axes... AND if you look closely, the chest piece in the shot on the left has the Raptor Imperialis on it! MKIV is obviously way too late for the Great Crusade, but still cool for the bitz box.
Blizzard, the makers of Starcraft, Warcraft and World of Warcraft, have announced their newest game with this amazing cinematic trailer. It will blow you away!! Overwatch is THE game to play next year!
So what do you think? Have the Flesh Tearers gone rogue and betrayed the Empire, has the Empire betrayed them or have they given into the Black Rage?
Notice I also added Great Crusade era markings having trawled through the 3 Horus Heresy books to find out where icons were placed and why. Having those kind of icons on the gloves (especially with MKIII) seemed to be very popular.
