Age of $igmar gets a pump up next week with reinforcements for the Stormcast Eternals - two new boxed sets and the first three boxes (Judicators, Prosecutors, and Liberators) have been made jumbo-sized and better value - at least in $ AUS.
The new minis are the Vanguard Hunters , who seem to be the AO$ version of Space Wolves. They have a super-cool crossbow that would be an awesome Inquisitor gun for WH40K. There's also reinforcements in the form of Gryph-hounds, scary creatures in their own right, but also pets for Order characters.
There's a new Stormcast Battletome and new Warscoll Cards with pop out cards to chow the character's abilities on the battlefield. Other games systems use this dynamic, so curious for AO$ to be using it. ANyone who ordered the Battletome BTW got some free Stormhost Prayer Card Set - it's all sold out!
WH40K gets an interesting terrain release next week with the Deathworld Forest. Totally see what they're trying to do here, but Jesus this is an ugly set! Maybe that's the point, but for $220 AUD it's not on my list! Away from minis, there's a Space Marine Legends novel about Ultramrine poster boy, Cassius.
Certainly a week for AO$ - curious considering the momentum building about Gathering Storm, but trying to keep both AO$ and WH40K camps happy would be a tough balancing act!
