With the flurry of news bot official and leaked in the last week about Warhammer 40k 8th Edition, this week's pre-orders are very small release - Hobbit-sized in fact.
First off is the Thorin Okakenshield & Company set - some of the skinniest Dwarves one is likely ever to see - and then there's the Goblin King and Retinue. Both of these sets are plastic, which is nice for conversions, but again come from the least successful of the Peter Jackson movie trilogies. Lord of the Rings was by far the better series.
Next up is a Blood Bowl bases set and shows just how lazy GW thinks hobbyists are. Now you can get bases with the hole pre-drilled in them... it's a hole, people!
And finally the next Horus Heresy novel, this one a Salamanders one - Sons of the Forge.
