Now with Chaos entering the fray, Codex Heretic Astartes is here and interestingly the new Codex only comes in one flavour - Spikey Death To Our Father Standard Edition. If you're more a hobbyist or were stung by getting a new Codex only a few months ago so you're on strike, there's the minis - and they do not disappoint. Abaddon the Despoiler, the Warmaster is back - bigger and frankly frakkin' amazing! There's a tonne of features on this guy and customizable elements. Even for the price, he's worth it. What would a leader be without troops, and here's where we get the real joy - Chaos Space Marines! Every race and their domesticated creature of choice now has some special scenery and the Chaos Space Marine one does not disappoint - the Noctilith Crown is basically a massive blackstone shield generator and it's cool!! As with most new releases there are themed Chaos Space Marines Dice and Chaos Space Marines Datacards. In the tradition of Chaos, the Iron Warriors: The Omnibus is finally out telling the story of the rise of the infamous Iron Warrior's Warsmith Honsou via Graham McNeill’s Ultramarines series. I was very tempted by this, but knowing it's couched in terms of the Ultras takes the shine (pun intended) off it. Also out in books next week is the first novel in the Warhammer Horror line The Wicked and the Damned and the audio drama Perdition's Flame.
