The second week of Daughters of Khaine kicks off with the most highly anticipated minis, the Melusai Blood Sisters/ Melusai Blood Stalkers combi kit and the Khinerai Lifetakers/ Khinerai Heartrenders combi kit. Both of these units aren't your line troops - they're more specialists - as you can probably guess by the 5 minis per box and the higher price tag. Interestingly, if you have a look at the rules, there is another Khinerai listing; the Harpies. Many Dark Eldar players are looking at both of these as additions to their Sslyth bodyguard or Scourges units.
There are also some terrain sets released too - the Azyrite Ruins, and the Realm of Battle: Blasted Hallowheart which includes the ruins, plus 4 fold-out cardboard gaming boards, that form a 113x168cm battlefield. The boards are double-sided, one side featuring a set of overgrown remains and stonework – and the other featuring a volcanic landscape!
For very old Beardys like some of us, the Azyrite Ruins being moulded in the tan plastic is a throwback to the classic plastic beaky Space Marines, Rhino and Land Raider that all came on tan sprues!
