It's the week we get to pre-order the new edition of Age of $igmer - Dominion! It seems like every time GW make their way through the races through all the Battletomes, a new edition is released and the cycle starts all over again! If you're a player, especially a casual player, it must be bloody hard to keep up to date. This new boxed set includes 60 brand new push-fit (urgh!!) Citadel miniatures from the Stormcast and Orruk sides. In terms of the boxed sets for Age of $igmar, including Silver Tower, this one seems not as impressive - the minis are nice, and there's a tonne in the box, but it lacks the *wow* factor. It is interesting to see GW move into the true-scale proportions, so we'll see what happens from here...
Well here we are, the next edition of Warhammer Age of $igmar all here in the one box - Dominion. With a full rulebook and campaign included it's a pretty good starter set, but as above, there's a certain lack of flair this time. Still, if you want it, you need to get in a queue to get it, so do not be late! The new rules are also available separately, and come in the Core Book Limited Edition (which is outrageously 3 times the price) or the Standard Edition. Either way, be aware this is a two week pre-order window, so you won't be getting it next week. This is for July! To supplement the new edition, there's the Warhammer Age of Sigmar General's Handbook Pitched Battles 2021 and Pitched Battle Profiles (try asking for that at the counter! What a mouthful) which has the new ways to play, 12 battleplans, updated Pitched Battle rules, profiles, points, and 14 double-sided tokens. Now to keep track of your glory, there's also the Warhammer Age of Sigmar Path to Glory Diary, 152 pages of fancy diary to help you see how your forces are doing on the Path to Glory campaign. Of course what would a release be without some terrain - so we get the Realmscape: Ghurish Expanse double-sided boards and Realmscape Objective Set. The Combat Gauge also gets trotted out again, and there's three new Base paints to colour-up the new race of Orcs - Orruk Flesh, Hobgrot Hide, Thondia Brown. Bless the Base paints and their superior coverage!
In other miniature related news, the venerable Cadian Defence Force box has now been updated with the new Upgrade Sprue we talked about last week too.
