Having now gone over the sprues and had a really good look, this kit holds some really good possibilities.
BUT BE WARNED - I was told today that Games Workshop in Australia only have 100 in their warehouse and don't expect to get resupplied for at least a few weeks, so if you miss out in store you might be waiting a while.
Now - lets split open a box and delve inside...
This has to have been a last minute cost cutting measure - this was obviously originally in colour and, frankly, just looks silly in black and white.
Verdict
Yes it's heavy on the wallet, but it would be the centrepiece to any army, in fact it could be a players only model if you had large games and needed some heavy support from an ally.
The moulding is really nice, the sprue layout is compact but also very easy to follow and the instructions are as good as Games Workshop instructions generally are.
If you're a hobbyist - this is a must-have kit. In fact I'm pretty sure you won't buy just one.
If you're a gamer - this is a kit you will want to have and hopefully not have to contend with too often on the tabletop. This would look great in any army, painted up and ready to smash through almost any lines.
It will be interesting to see how it works out with Line of Sight rules as this is the first thing any Tau rail gun or Marine missile launcher would want to be targetting.
Will you go Imperial, or does the idea of having your hero in a titan make you want to go all creative on this model's hull?
