Talons of the Emperor are the Emperor's personal forces; the Sisters of Silence and the Adeptus Custodes, both of which were first seen in the Burning at Prospero boxed set, but are now available as either a set (in Gathering Storm packaging) or as individual units (in Horus Heresy packaging). The Sisters of Silence has three build options; the Witchseeker Squad, the Vigilator Squad or the Prosecutor Squad. The Adeptus Custodes come in one Custodian Guard flavour. That's all good, but then the releases get weird and lazy - there's the Null-Maiden Rhino and Venerable Land Raider, that despite being special and for the Talons of the Emperor, are actually just a repack and come with Ultramarine decals. Why?? But wait, there's more! The Venerable Contemptor Dreadnought, an incredibly lacklustre kit anyway... comes with Burning of Prosero decals! Seriously, Games Workshop, is this a serious release or just a reboxing with little or no care taken? Pretty poor!
Despite the relative importance of the miniatures in terms of the universe, GW are not willing to put the money into printing a decal sheet, which seems pretty lazy.
++ It does have to be said though - if you buy the Talons of the Emperor box, you get the Sisters of SIlence and the Adeptus Custodes for free ++.
Away from the minis, Titan the graphic novel gets a rerelease, Eye of Ezekial, a Dark Angels novel and the audio drama The Binary Succession which sounds very cool and has more than one actor in it!
