We'll split this up a bit to make it easier to track what the frakk is going on, but this week is Tyranids - they get their new Codex with apparently a whole lot of new stuff in it. The Codex comes in vanilla and Brood Mother version, plus there is the obligatory Data Cards. There is also a bundle, which is The Enemy Below set.
Next week we also get some new scenery - the Chaos Dreadhold: Ruined Wall (which interestingly has a small note saying it may be out the week after) and the STC Ryza-Pattern Ruins which is designed to match with the Sector Mechanicus scenery sets. There's also a large scenery set called Outpost Pythos IV, which seems like great value. Speaking of value Terrain bundles, there are three large sets too - the Sector Mechnicus Hive Shield, the massive Citadel of the Everchosen and the Ruins of Elixia. These last three sets are pricey, but if you do the maths on them, there are savings in there!
Away from miniatures, the uber-cool Dark Millennium Playing Cards (left) with exclusive art by John Blanche are here to tempt us all. we have the Black Library 2018 calendar and a Jain Zar: The Storm of Silence Eldar-based novel. BUT WAIT - THERE'S MORE...
Something that has really surprised quite a few people is the Citadel Painting Handle. There's been a few Kickstarters to offer these to hobbyists over recent years - but for GW to bring one out at such a cheap price is pretty amazing! Less amazing and expensive for what it is is the Warhammer 40K Journal. Granted it comes with especially printed pages for stats etc, but still pretty $$. There is also an Age of $imar one if that is your flavour! The Citadel Green Measuring Tape is a must for gamers and at this price is starting top compete with the ones you can buy at a hardware store. Not to be forgotten, the Citadel Paint Mat and Water Pot have also been given a re-release too. Now what would the hobby be without paint? Well it would be grey plastic and resin... BUT there are some new paint sets on the way - the Layer Paint Set, the Air Paint Set. the Base and Shade Paint Set (frankly the best set here), the Texture and Base Paint set which comes with basing materials. Then there's the Ultimate Paint Collection which is amazing - if you want to pay out that much on the hobby. Amazing start!
Some of the missing notable armies from this list of bundles are Space Marines (generic and also flavours like Ultramarines, Dark Angels, Blood Angels etc), and the ubiquitous Stormcast.
