You may have seen our review a short time ago on the Veteran Spiked Shoulders, and I received my second shipment today so I thought you might like a look!
As you may know, I am building a War Hounds force, the progenitors to the World Eaters. I wanted to create some kind of visual link between the two Legions and War Hounds also had some spiked elements to their armour, even though. Forge World told me in an email that the War Hounds had some spiked armour, but weren't as spikey as the World Eaters
Having been so impressed with the Veteran Spiked Shoulders I bought previously, I can't help but use them a little bit - and with this new lot, there will be some more!
So, here's a look at Master Crafted's new Spiked Shoulders.
+ + More After The Jump + +
Large Spiked Arc Shoulderpads
As you can see by this shot, the details are very crisp, very clean and fit perfectly onto the Cataphractii Terminators. There isn't the guiding pieces that Forge World provide for their shoulder pads, but these fit perfectly and I think look great for War Hounds, Sons of Horus or any number of Chapters!
There is a left and a right, so if you order the left, make sure to order the matching right version.
I will be adding these to the left shoulders of my War Hound Cataphractii Terminators.
Spiked Rows A Shoulderpads
Spiked Rows Veteran Shoulderpads
The spikes on these are again smaller than the Veteran ones I mentioned earlier but not less detailed.
Spiked Rows B Shoulderpads
These would be great on Alpha Legion or Sons of Horus, even the ubiquitous World Eaters.
These are a world of hurt in anyone's book. Imagine a guy with two - one on each shoulder.
It's worth just stepping out his way really...
I'm thinking these for an idea of a Khan in his War Hound days.
Spiked Veteran Shoulderpads
This was a test model and may end up becoming a Veteran or Banner man.
My paint job is a little bit rough on closer examination - sorry about that - but you get the idea.
You may be able to make out the shape of the spikes which are perfect for highlighting and spending a bit of time on. They fit perfectly too. You can see here with the MKII Forge World shoulder pad on the other shoulder it fits right in.
In the next few days I'll show you the progress I've made on them recently. This guy is just one...
+ + Coming Soon + +
Here's a teaser of some awesome MKV/ MK VI shoulder pads and a beautiful plain Veteran shoulder pad that may just become standard on all my War Hounds from here on in. They scream MKIV to me too!
Stay tuned and I'll show you those next week...
