 | You may have heard of Heavy Metal Magazine, it's been around for years and is a monthly comics compendium bringing together some pretty big talents in the sci-fi/ dark horror/ fantasy comic world - but you wouldn't call it mainstream by any stretch of the imagination - so much so that the latest issue was banned! Well the cover was... The James Jean cover variant was refused by all retailers and wholesalers - so it will never hit newsstands! Heavy Metal themselves are a bit mystified - despite having a simulated sex scene on the cover - the subjects are not human, it is a painting not a photograph AND in the magazine’s 40 year history this would not be the first time an artist’s rendering of bare breasts has been on the cover. Sure you can still get the content in one of the other covers, but how often do we really see rabbits enjoying themselves? Maybe this is why they have so many babies - they just really get into it? They look pretty happy Who said Attenborough knows the truth? Tell you what, it puts a hole new spin on Easter! |
