Now we are assuming this is week one, becaus the new Cryptek model is not here!
The Necrons seem to be a big deal in the current Warhammer 40K story; they have had a lot of attention on the Community page with multiple articles (compared to the 2 for Tau), they're in the new Forgebane boxed set and there were potentially veiled references to them in the new T'au Codex and of course an integral part in the now long-forgotten Gathering Storm story arch. This week sees Week 1 of the Necron releases, with a brand new Start Collecting! Necrons set - now if you want to compare the old and the new, we did that for you last week if you want to see what is better value. There is of course a new Codex with the Unicron Collector's Edition and the Soundwave standard Codex: Necrons - no difference between the two except the price and a different cover. There are of course also the obligatory Datacards: Necrons. In terms of miniatures, the Canoptek Wraiths and Tomb Blades get a reboxing plus there is a massive set, the Necron Dynasty Battalion Detachment which gives you just about everything! Now we are assuming this is week one, becaus the new Cryptek model is not here! Having a look inside the Necrons Codex, it looks like it's the same high production values as the T'au Codex which is a very impressive tome, in fact a one-stop shop - certainly a vast improvement on recent Codex. Have a look at this Sautekh Dynasty page with all new art and some nice fluff!!

This is probably it for the Necron releases. Nothing new in the book, so other than some reboxing, it'll be on to the next one. As far as the new Cryptek, if you are referring to the one in Forgebane, its gonna be MONTHS before he is available loose. I would be willing to bet that the Armigers will be available before they remember the Cryptek.

You're probably right. Initially I thought they may do the new guy with a few reboxings like the Doom Scythe because they had disappeared off the webstore, but as soon as the pre-orders went up they reappeared. There's some amazing conversions out there at the moment for Necrons! My God! Thanks for commenting.
