With news fresh in our minds that the weekly version of White Dwarf will be no more, this week's ritual of heading to the store, and picking up the latest issue was a bit bittersweet. Speaking of bittersweet - Eldar. Are these guys not the emo boys of 40K? How can you not feel sorry for them? They are less like formidable warriors and more like the last remnants with the sads just trying to battle away in fancy sparkly spandex armour. I mean they're cool, but nowhere near as cool as the Dark Eldar! Interestingly, if you're not really aware of the Eldar as such, this week's White Dwarf gives you a look into both of these forces and more. Apart from these deadly dainty warriors, Space Elves if you want to use their original title, there isn't a lot... There's an amazing Undead army by Andrew King, and two new Start Collecting! boxed sets not coincidentally Eldar and Dark Eldar themed. So, with the end drawing nigh for the weekly White Dwarf, was this the issue to pick up? ++ More After The Jump ++ |
