There's a new player in the miniatures market for 2014 and these guys aren't starting with your archetypal fantasy stereotypes of big muscles and tonnes of armour - they're going small... really small!

| Halfling! That's right - they don't get much smaller, and Voodooworx, a new UK miniatures company are starting there. Dungeons and Dragons lore describes Halflings as: Creatures of the earth who love a warm hearth and pleasant company, halflings are folks of few enemies and many friends. Halflings are widely dispersed throughout Faerûn and survive by escaping the notice of big folk. Most halflings are content with simple lives, never gaining more prestige than the respect of their local community. |  |
Now I don't know about you, but when I read "Halfling" I read "Hobbit" - I'm not the only one, right?
But have a look at Voodooworx concept art for their Halflings. This is genre redefining stuff.
This is a whole new spin on what you'd have to say aren't the most popular race in fantasy.
