Horus Heresy gets a boost this weekend with the Warhammer: The Horus Heresy - Legiones Astartes Battle Group finally going on pre-order. This box sees the launch of the plastic Deredeo Dreadnought, alongside thirty of the new upgraded MKIII Space Marines and the Land Raider Proteus. Thankfully, the new MKIII Tactical Squad is also available separately, giving you twenty of the new version of the Iron Pattern armour. Personally we preferred the previous plastic set - it was much more faithful to the art from over the years and had that very crude look to it. It will be interesting to see how these are greeted, but we'll certainly miss the older ones. If you were holding out for the Deredeo Dreadnought, fear not because it is also available outside the boxed set too. The Deredeo Dreadnought: Anvilus Configuration has lots of weapon and armour options, so this will be a popular kit, maybe even an instant hit! Horus Heresy – Exemplary Battles of The Age of Darkness: Volume One is a collection of the articles published on Warhammer Community profiling special units and missions that they featured in. This is also the first time we will see the rules for the new Forge World Fulgrim Transfigured and his warped Legion.
Games Workshop continue to try to produce the perfect army transport case, and this one has to be one of the weirdest - the Stormvault Skirmish Case. This incredibly tenuous offering is not something I'd trust my minis in, but if you have the Emperor or Sigmar on your side, go forth!
In books this week we have The Dark Coil Collection, a set of three deluxe hardbacks, The Fall of Cadia in hardback, the Warhammer 40,000 omnibus Forges of Mars by Graham McNeill in paperback, and the paperback version of Angron – The Red Angel.
