Warhammer: Visions. It's a lucky dip really. I mean sometimes it's the awesome Cobra Viper you wanted, other times it's Crystal Ball or maybe Big Boa. At this point I am hoping my 1980s G.I.Joe references aren't lost on you. If they are, well - it's like this; sometimes Warhammer: Visions really delivers with awesome photos and maybe content you haven't seen. Other times it's pics you weren't interested in last time you saw them and washed out shots of Golden Demon winners form 2 years ago. This month we are somewhere in the middle. There's some really great shots of Tyranids an amazing Empire army by Rich Packer, some great Lords of War and washed out pictures from Golden Demon. They give, they take - but at the end of the day it depends on what you're into. Here you go - have a look! - + + More After The Jump + + |
Some of these images are new and the nigher resolution of Warhammer: Visions does bring it to life more. You can see details that White Dwarf didn't have, or this pic below can just look glorious!
There's tonnes of conversions in here - some simple and others really quite intricate. It's really given this force a unique look and feel.
Makes me want to build some,
There are of course other lovely models in there too - this just stood out to me.
SO much red!
One of the warbands has these two great conversions in it. Pretty cool!
Verdict
If you like Tyranids, go nuts, but a format like this does really scream out for more hobby articles, not unlike Sprues and Glue in White Dwarf.
After some pretty good stuff recently, it seems to me the energy on this publication is waning, which is a real shame because there was so much potential.
