Warhammer: Visions, as mentioned last week, is a week late. I've had varying reasons as to why - from a printing delay in the UK due to holidays to Australia Post being late. No one seems to know, but there was a delay... until today. Warhammer: Visions has good issues and some very poor issues you will just never look at. This issue is more of the former with some really great images. Unfortunately they haven't done any extra painting articles or modelling workshops, it's a showcase issue - more the pity because they have much more scope than White Dwarf do to explore these topics. Not only in terms of sheer page volume, but also time. They have a month to do it. To think of it, but alas. But I digress... In this month's issue we have the Blood Angels new releases, Imperial Knights, Mechanicum from Forge World, some amazing readers models and again some horribly washed out pictures from some GW event or another. More after the jump |
Blanche has been doing these super-dark models for 20 years or more and has inspired this whole section each month, but this month we get to see what he has been working on.
He is the master of the kitbash! Also funny to see he still loves the odd coat of gloss varnish in a model!
Verdict
They are terrible! This section is completely at odds with the rest of the high quality images and production values of Warhammer: Visions.
Dump it! It's a waste of space where other things could be included for the fan base.
If you can get over that - check it out.
I would really like your thoughts on the Golden Demon sections.
I think they're atrocious and drag the issues down, but what do you think?
