 | Warhammer Visions is like the Tardis, but without the cute assistant, the curious doctor and the universe-threatening aliens - basically it's a time machine to see what has happened over the past month in White Dwarf. If you expect anything more, Padwan, you will be disappointed. With that in mind, what does Warhammer Visions hold for us this month? Pretty pictures? Yep - that's pretty much the format and some inspirational models this month too. There have been some months where it's pretty pedestrian, but this month there really are some nice models, with the likes of some amazing minis from Maxime Pastourel, Amy Snugg's Martian Mechanicus force and Paul Rudge's massive Death Guard army which was also in White Dwarf this week. There's also a showcase of flyers and Leviathan Dreadnoughts, more on the Armies on Parade from last year including a really cool looking High Elf army, and Blanchitsu returns rather triumphantly. Although all this month's releases were given a thorough going over, Deathwatch gets a very thorough look in. Most of the images you may have seen before, but then again when you get a cool spread (like above) it doesn't hurt to see it again. All the minis look great and even last week's releases are featured.
I will say that a few of the pictures in the Age of $igmar section really weren't that great. The whites were all blown out and really didn't do the paint jobs or the models any justice.

The Leviathan Dreadnought is ridiculously large and a great canvas for any Legion painter. This section shows off just a few of the colour schemes Legions have used on their Leviathans.
We touched on Paul Rudge's very large Death Guard Legion in the write up on White Dwarf 114 this week, but here are more great shots of such a great looking force. There is also a much closer look at the Imperial Knights in allegiance with his death Guard too.
Age of $igmar anyone? Who knew the core of the Stormcasts we first saw were by one man - Tim Davis - you poor bastard! You must go into convulsions whenever you see gold paint!

In the Golden Demon: Space Marine section, you have to stop and take time to look at these amazing Blood Angels by Gareth Nicholas. Seriously - these are amazing!
In quick succession, Tim Davis (the same Tim Davis??) has been busy with the Elven Treemen and a better glowing eyes you will not see. These are brilliant!

Some people are so good at what they do they should be locked up and kept from the general populace - Maxime Pastourel is one such individual. A selection of amazing minis from not only a very talented painter and but also an expert modeller.

High Elves have never rocked my boat, but these striking clean and strong looking High Elves could convert me. Some really beautiful work by Steve Wren. There are some other nice forces in this section on Armies on Parade, but this one is just lovely!!
Blanchitsu is back with a really cool looking warband by Toni Sokura. Some really character-filled conversions here and very much in keeping with the John Blanche school.

Verdict
Warhammer Visions is a picture book. If you want pretty pictures, there are definitely some here. Is it as packed full of good ideas as past issues? No, but it's not terrible nor boring, You just have to decide of you want a picture book. Personally I want more, but that's not what's on offer...
