The jury is out on Warhammer Visions, just head over to your favourite forum and every man and his dog will have an opinion. For me I have wavered between excitement to confusion to boredom to "can I get my money back"... This issue however promised something more interesting with the Imperial Knights taking centre stage. What we got however was a hell of a lot of images we've already seen before, some washed out Golden Demon photos and some recycled Paint Splatter - More after the jump |
I am not a photographer, so expect dodgy pictures below
The pictures of the Imperial Knights have probably been the best White Dwarf has shown us - very crisp, very clear and lots of details.
Warhammer Visions #3 has basically gone that extra mile and given us even more... close ups.
Yeah - close ups!
It's amazing to see all the detail and skill of the painters, but these were obviously taken at the same time as the White Dwarf shoot so really offer you little in the way of anything new.
He's kept a theme going with the teeth and the limited palette. This is an amazing army!
Stu Black's army is amazing and great to look at, John Blanche's work is always interesting to see, but honestly you will have to pick up your game, because the 20 issues on shelf I saw today may be sitting there for a month if you don't start offering something.
This is supposed to be the hobbyist magazine.
The one with all the painting tips and the conversions and the cool stuff... where is it?
In all honesty - this issue is a waste of money.
What do you think?
