The Chaos God Khorne has been thundering his way through the Warhammer universe for the past few weeks wreaking havoc with murderous abandon. This week he and his forces disgorge themselves in the Warhammer 40K universe, warp-twisted Bolters and Chainswords at the ready. The first impression I get from looking over Khorne Daemonkin is how the Bloodletters and other denizens of Khorne are equally important or even more than the ubiquitous Chaos Space Marines in terms of building a force. "Khorne's Daemon Legions" - you'll be hearing that a lot form now on as Chaos Space Marine fights next to Daemon and Cultist. I can see a return to Khorne Guardsmen in forces with Chaos Space Marines like the old days. White Dwarf is full of Khorne, but what else is in this issue? + + More After Jump + + |
In reality it's not unlike the new force structure in Warhammer, post-The End Times. Just opens it up!

Also this week apart from the various forms of the Codex, there's also the Data Cards. These will likely sell very quickly as most 40K Data Cards do!
Also this week there is the new Gotrek & Felix novel plus a White Scars vs Tau audio drama.
This Crusade case (above) can hold all the troops and vehicles on the right! All of them... It's some kind of weird Xenos sorcery, but it's apparently true! The prices on these aren't totally awful, in fact the smaller Skirmish Case still holds a tonne of troops or at least a few vehicles. For most of us this may be all you need....
Well elements of the Imperial Army can now use Rapiers!! Too cool!!
Parent: "Well little Timmy, what can we get?"
Kid: "Buy me all of this!!
Parent: "I will divert my guilt and use this to distract you so I can be on my smart phone more by buying you this - all of this on this page. Thanks GW"
Okay - I'm being cynical, but here is just some of the Khorne range
I must admit I do really like the use of black on the Khorne marines and the bone white - the altermate colour schemes on the Bloodletters really add a lot to these models too.
These look great flanked by marines... Well flanked by Care Bears they'd still look cool!!
Verdict
I would like to see an Unbound Khorne force now though...

Oddly there was no Paint Splatter this week despite the alternate colour schemes.
Maybe the studio ran out of Khorne Red?
