White Dwarf Issue #28 - Plus Space Wolf Painting Guide info

We we're week whatever into the Space Wolves releases, and they're about 50/50 success rate so far; the Stormfang was a bit of a fizzer, but the Dreadnoughts were pretty popular. Well with the re-release of Logan Grimnar in this week's White Dwarf and his brand new... chariot, there has again been some rumblings.
Personally I don't think it's that bad. I wouldn't buy it, but I can see Space Wolf players liking it. It has all the iconography right and would fit into the army. 
He is the main focus this week, but we also get a look at the new Space Wolf Painting Guide which looks at other Great Companies within the Space Wolves. 
So, apart from Logan's Shaggin-Wagon and that neat book, what else do you get?

So here it is. Really nicely detailed. Logan looks massive! Those poor bloody wolves...
The miniature itself is covered in iconography, and the chariot and wolves are dynamic. It certainly doesn't look static!

Companies of Fenris, you luscious beast. I want you! 160 pages of Space Wolf goodness. I must admit this kept me from buying the Codex today as there was very little (read NO) painting info in there at all! 
I do wonder how different the other Great Companies are - I hope a bit!

There's a couple of great sets coming out too, Arjac's Shieldbrothers and Grimnars's War Council. I would think any new Space Wolves fan would want that War Council!

Battle Report this week is Wolves vs. Tau and Eldar. Battle Reports don't do it for me - but it may rock your world!

As in Warhammer Visions #7, 'Eavy Metal make their presence known with 2 nicely painted miniatures!

Jes Bickham's Throne of Skulls report is okay. I do wonder about an army that consists of only 4 Imperial Knights though. It screams Power Player to me!

Paint Splatter is all about Logan Grimnar and his Shaggin'-Wagon. The info on the wolves is good especially if you're not used to painting wolves or fur. 

Ollie Norman picked up a pretty big mantle when he took on Logan Grimnar - the master, Jes Goodwin was his previous sculptor. Backstory-wise, the chariot itself once belonged to Leman Russ himself. He was king-of-bling, so that kind of makes sense. As far as the deco goes, there is something almost Caesarian about this chariot; the big scenes on the side and all. The large stone floor to the chariot is nice too. All the elements are there... just interesting if the overall package doesn't appeal.

Also in this issue, Jervis Johnson looks at rules... and that's about it. Really that's pretty much everything, so if this doesn't appeal, then that's all you get!
