This weekend sees the release of the new Wood Elves for Warhammer and some of the sprues are starting to make their way online - and well well well, what have we here?! Eternal Guard!
Have a look at this beautiful sprue! The detail is impecable and really well moulded. The fine details on the shields and double-ended spears. These will be brilliant to paint!

Now this is both interesting and a touch annoying - the bodies are all one piece! Sure there is a back and a front, but again we are lacking the flexibility to pose them, These are entirely for putting into ranks.

Beautiful looking miniatures, a pity they are so static and so limited in poseability options though.
Now something else interesting about these sprue pics is the date on the bottom "2013". They did a pretty good job keeping these under wraps when you think about it.
So far the sprues remind me of the Dark Elf releases from last year which were really nice but not big on articulation or poseability. That being said, I loved the Dark Elf releases so I hope this one is just as good.
