| In our last Zone Mortalis review we looked at the Epsilon Complex. This time it's one of the accessories to go with the larger plates from Zone Mortalis - the Large Blast Door. The Zone Mortalis plates are nice, but to have these really come alive, the Blast Doors (there's a big one and small one) seem to be a necessity to me. The great thing about them is they are multi-part, and can be either glued in place, open or closed or just slid into place. |

The details of the large blast door - nice crisp lines and little flash. The door fits quite well in the supports, but doesn't fit totally flush with the base plate. Nicely there is enough room so that the paint won't scrape off when sliding the door up and down!

The pieces laid out, including the warped base plate... well it wouldn't be Forge World without some warp-idge.
I was surprised at the thickness of the resin channels. It's THICK. Luckily cutting part of the way through and snapping off works well.

Verdict
The blast door isn't the cheapest Forge World product, but it adds a Hell of a lot to the Zone Mortalis plates. They take it from a corridor to a place for ambush or a last stand or even a stalwart guard awaiting their master.
If you're going to go for Zone Mortalis, go for at least one of these door sets. Getting both and not gluing them in will provide you with more flexibility.
