You might remember last week the Zone Mortalis Epsilon tile arrived from Forge World.
 | Well today, it was time to start! It's actually quite fiddly and washing all the manufacturing oils off was a pain, but in the end it does look better all cleaned up. I initially went for Codex Grey on the bulkheads, but it was too light, and considering the middle bits (which I assume are meant to be stone or concrete) would be quite light, so Adeptus Grey it was! The Astronomicon Grey was then washed with watered down Typhus Corrosion (which you might remember from this) with the excess soaked away. |
I haven't started on the bulkhead weathering yet, but so far I'm pretty happy. The concerns about the depth of the details proved to be somewhat unfounded, though touch ups were necessary.
